"First met Chandler four years ago when a pipe burst in my home and I needed my floors replaced. He came out later that same day to give me an quote and began the job soon after. Ever since Nelsonâ s Construction and Floor Design has been servicing my friends and family. Recently got a new deck and privacy fence done by them. Can do most anything regarding improving a home and does it well. Would recommend"

Floor Sanding questions, answered by experts

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.

A professional land surveyor ensures accurate property boundaries and prevent legal disputes.

A land survey includes the layout of a single property, including precise measurements and to-scale drawings of boundary lines, land improvements, and sometimes other features, like topography and drainage information. A plat map includes the layouts and boundary lines of several adjacent plots and basic structure measurements. Surveys are normally more valuable for homeowners and buyers, and plat maps are for governmental use.

Yes, they assess topography and potential risks related to flooding.

You should always calculate real estate development costs on a case-by-case basis, so there’s no specific formula to estimate your total. You should speak with a local construction manager to see what you’ll need to do in terms of clearing and leveling the land, connecting utilities, and pulling permits for construction. A professional will be able to get you an accurate estimate for land development.
