"All Service Moving was exceptional. Great customer service - easy to schedule and flexible. Royce & Frost did an AMAZING job moving all of our very heavy and fragile belongings. They handled all of our requests and items with care and worked both efficiently and quickly. They were super friendly and very customer service oriented. I can't thank them enough for the GREAT job they did. I highly recommend All Service Moving for anything moving and/or storage related. And DEFINITELY request Royce & Frost to handle your job. "recently moved from Fort Lauderdale to Dallas, TX, and I had a great experience from start to finish. The team was professional, reliable, and made the entire moving process feel smooth and stress-free. They handled everything with care, communicated well, and made sure my belongings arrived safely. Moving out of state can be overwhelming, but they made it so much easier. I truly appreciate their hard work and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy moving company."

"So I hired these folks to help me unload a self-move U-Haul. I did help extensively with the unloading. I also moved six times in 10 years. While the workers were extremely nice, they did not arrive with basic moving gear: gloves, sliding pads, or hoist straps. They caused more damage than I'm comfortable with for a move. Furthermore, mid-transaction, the payment method changed, and the phone number became obsolete. I had concerns on the operational side."

Moving questions, answered by experts

Professional movers take care of safely loading, transporting, and unloading all of your belongings. Many movers also offer specialty pricing for whole-house packing, furniture disassembly, relocating fragile items, and more. You’ll benefit from having a moving team take care of your move quickly and efficiently.

There are some household items movers won’t pack, while there are others that are important to keep on your person during the move. Don’t pack the following items:

  • Poisonous, hazardous, flammable, or explosive items, including some cleaners, matches, alcohol, and paint

  • Perishable food items

  • Pets and plants

  • Irreplaceable items and documents, such as your passport, will, and medical records

In most cases, you should get a full month’s notice for a move date. If you’re renting, your landlord or property management company is required to give the same amount of notice as your pay period length. So, if you pay rent each month, they will need to give you a month’s notice unless your leasing agreement says otherwise.

Yes, it’s worth the cost to hire professional long-distance movers. Professional movers will ensure your household belongings reach your destination safely and efficiently—with many companies already having made similar moving trips recently. Also, professional movers have the proper equipment and experience to ensure your move goes smoothly.

The cost of a long-distance move depends on several factors, including whether you hire movers, use a moving truck, and the size of your move. For a 1,000-mile move, you’ll need to hire interstate movers and ask them for an estimate based on the details of your move. Keep in mind that a 1,000-mile move will likely cost $10,000 or more.
