"Ryan proved himself to be knowledgeable and trustworthy from the very beginning. I called several people to get quotes and explained the problem over the phone. He quoted me for his service call and told me what he thought the problem might be based on my description, but also explained and I understood that he could not make a diagnosis over the phone. It did turn out to be what he originally suspected and since it involved my icemaker, which was no emergency, he gave me the choice to pay a higher price for the part that was available at a local parts store and get it repaired right away or to shop around for a cheaper price for the part, which might take a few extra days. I chose the cheaper price and I appreciated him giving me that option. His labor fee was a set price, which was very fair and he disclosed to me up front. I believe a person should be well compensated for a job well done. Ryan does a good job and I will definitely hire him again whenever we need maintenance or repair work for our appliances. If you need someone who is knowledgeable and trustworthy, call Ryan."

"Went well. Technicians need to be trained to perform safety procedures for appliances maintenance checks. Making sure appliances being worked on are properly functioning and safe to use for customer. The customer should not be telling or begging technicians to perform safety checks on appliances. More training is needed please. Thank you for your service."

"The technician did an excellent job. It did take a while to get the repair finished, but that was due to Bertazzoni delivering the parts. I have had multiple problems with this particular appliance. My range now works better than it did when new, but I have a feeling that even if I have continuing problems with it, American Home Shield will just repair rather than replace due to the cost of the range. By the way, I'm not exactly sure of the date of the repair."

Appliance Sales questions, answered by experts

Like any other household appliance, electric fireplaces can wear out after about 10 to 20 years. With more frequent use, the parts will wear out quicker, and you may get just 7 to 10 years out of a well-loved electric fireplace. Fortunately, electric fireplaces come with a lower upfront installation cost compared to alternatives like gas, so you can install a replacement for less.

The biggest difference between an outdoor grill and a griddle is the surface you’re cooking on. Grills are made with grates, so the food is more exposed to the fire, ash, and smoke beneath it. Griddles have a flat top, like a giant cast iron pan or skillet. They’re easy to cook on, and you won’t have to worry about your food being overexposed to flames or falling through a grate.

Usually, a kitchenette does not have a stove. But if you have the space, you could add a small stove. If you choose to install a stove, you’ll also need to add an exhaust fan. You can expect to pay an average price of $750 to install an exhaust fan. That’s why you'll commonly see kitchenettes with countertop hotplates instead.

Choosing between a gas vs. electric dryer comes down to individual needs. A gas dryer tends to have faster drying times and is more energy-efficient, which may be a better choice for you if you have access to affordable natural gas and have a high volume of laundry. However, an electric dryer has a lower upfront cost, is easier to install, and may be more suitable if your home doesn’t have a gas connection. When determining which type of dryer is best for you, factors such as energy costs, installation requirements, budgets, and personal preferences should be considered.

Ovens are measured by the width, height, and depth of the overall oven (typically in inches). You’ll want to measure the oven not only for the final space it’ll be installed in but also to make sure all the openings in your home to get to your kitchen can accommodate its size.
