"They were very prompt and were very detailed about the project and all the specifics. They had a very well mannered crew they showed up redone my entire parking lot and it looks absolutely beautiful. The drainage is on point. It looks as if they were never there. they’re cleanup. Crew was amazing and the great thing is they had a lot of other work going on and they squeezed my 15,000 square-foot job in like it was nothing and took really good care of me. I would highly recommend them any day of the week."

"They arrived on time and worked efficiently enough to finish the job in little over a hour. Made on the spot corrections without any complaints. If still in business, I would hire them again in a couple of years to do it again."

"I asked for a bid on a Tuesday, received the bid within a couple hours. We were given time to discuss and and think about it. Accepted their bid that evening. We were told that it would be done that Thursday. That Thursday the job was complete before 1 PM. They took in the water direction and how to move water away from the home. The driveway parking area is now beautiful. I don’t have to worry about my mother tripping on loose rocks or artificial bumps that we used to divert the water prior. The crew were very professional and personable. Truly a good experience would recommend them highly for whatever you’re paving needs."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Sealing coat asphalt after 6-12 months and then every 2-3 years is recommended.

Common alternatives to a gravel driveway include concrete, asphalt, brick, stone pavers, and permeable pavers. Concrete and asphalt are generally the most affordable options. However, concrete can be prone to cracking in cold climates, while asphalt may soften in areas with high heat and direct sun exposure. For enhanced curb appeal, brick, stone, and permeable pavers are popular choices, though their installation can be more expensive due to intricate designs. Stone pavers offer a natural look and are sometimes installed with gravel around them. Both permeable pavers and brick driveways provide excellent drainage, which helps prevent flooding and reduce water runoff.

Several materials are suitable for steep driveways. Gravel and crushed stone are affordable options that provide good traction. Permeable pavers—such as plastic, rubber, or concrete—filled with gravel or crushed stones are also excellent, as they allow water to drain without causing erosion and perform well in ice and snow. Another option is resin, which can be coated with an anti-slip finish and helps prevent puddles. For added stability, you can install a retaining wall to prevent pavers and gravel from shifting over time.

To maintain their strength, asphalt driveways and parking lots need to be sealcoated once every two to five years. You may also need to reapply paint striping every few years as it fades to ensure drivers can safely navigate the parking lot.

The cost to pour a driveway apron depends on the material and size. Concrete costs $3 to $10 per square foot, asphalt ranges from $2 to $5, and pavers are $5 to $15 per square foot. Additional expenses, like excavation, base material, and labor, can increase the total cost. For example, a standard 12x15-foot concrete apron could cost between $540 and $1,800, depending on local rates and additional work required. Always consult a local driveway paving contractor to get an accurate estimate tailored to your project.
