"Complete Power Washing was an excellent choice for the work we needed to have done. Frank was a pleasure to work with. He responded quickly to my request for a quote, returned calls promptly, was on time, did and excellent job, and went above and beyond with his customer care and service (moving flower pots and other items away from the house, moving a table and BBQ on the deck). I would happily recommend Complete Power Washing to others and will rehire if the need arises."

"John did a superb job. I recommend that everyone use his services; I am very happy with the work. Oh--he works diligently and is a pleasant, interesting person."
"Were punctual and professional. They were pleasant and very easy to work with. They started at 8:00 AM and finished at 3 PM with no trace left behind. I would definitely hire Lockwood again."
"It was okay. I didn't see the people. They came, did their work and left. I wanted aerating and over-seeding. I don't know if they had gotten a big response for their advertised price but I felt they came out kind of late and they didn't leave much time for grass to grow in the fall. Actually, I was a little disappointed in how long for them to come out. It was actually later towards the end of October before they actually got here, maybe the second week of October. They were good. There wasn't any additional cost. The price was really good that's why I scheduled the service with them."
"Allan, Jerry, and their crew did an amazing job removing the brush and cutting the limbs. Afterward, they cleaned up the site and used an air blower to remove dust. Will be hiring them again for more tree pruning and/or removal in the future."
Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts
Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.
If you’re DIYing the project, it could take up to a week if you aren’t able to dedicate full-time hours. If you hire a professional and they arrive with a team, expect your stairs to be sanded in as little as 2 hours (for simple projects). Finishing the stairs takes a while longer as there are drying and sealing times to consider, but the actual work will take much less time than the sanding portion.
DIY is possible, but professional services ensure even removal, safety compliance, and proper cleanup.
The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.
Costs depend on paint type, surface condition, labor, and required prep work for repainting.
