"T.N.C. Painting did an excellent job of wallpaper removal, painting and assorted other handyman jobs for me this month, May 2016. Brian is very personable and professional. He and his team are very easy to work with. Brian has expertise in many areas of handyman activities. He also installed two sliding glass door enclosures for a tub and shower stall for me. He is a man of integrity who takes pride in a job well done. I can highly recommend his company to anyone looking for handyman jobs around their house or condo. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate his company a 10. His bid was lower than the other 4 handyman companies I contacted from Angie’s List. Some were thousands of dollars higher. I would use him again in the future for any handyman needs I might have. To repeat, he did an excellent job for me in a timely manner at a fair price."

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

Limewash can be removed from brick, but the method of removal will depend on how long the limewash has been on the brick. If the limewash has fully dried—which happens after about five days—you’ll need to use a diluted muriatic acid mixture to remove it. If there are multiple coats of limewash, you may need to apply the acid mixture several times to fully remove it from the brick.

The simple nature of peel and stick wallpaper means it should come off much more easily than traditional wallpaper that is glued to your walls. You’ll still want to work slowly and carefully to avoid tearing it, but most peel and stick wallpaper should come off without a chemical agent to loosen it.

To remove adhesive-backed wallpaper, you’ll need to soften the adhesive before you try peeling the wallpaper off the walls. You may wonder whether peel-and-stick wallpaper damages walls. It can depend on the removal method. Make sure to be patient and consider using a steamer, hair dryer, or adhesive remover to carefully take down adhesive-backed wallpaper.

When comparing peel-and-stick and traditional wallpaper, the better choice depends on your specific needs and space. Peel-and-stick wallpaper is more budget-friendly and easier to DIY install. On the other hand, traditional wallpaper lasts much longer and holds up better in a wider variety of spaces, including areas with moisture like kitchens and bathrooms.

The average cost to remove wallpaper is $790. The final price tag depends on the size of the room and the complexity of the project, and can range from $200 to $2,000. Usually, removing peel-and-stick wallpaper is on the lower end of the cost scale, as it doesn't require special tools to remove.
