Saddlebrooke, Missouri is an upscale residential development off Highway 65 between Springfield and Branson, where my wife and I were going to build a house on a beautiful idyllic lot overlooking pristine Bull Creek. Concrete footing with rebar for stem walls was poured and set years ago for a large house in Seven Pines gated subdivision. Then, our plans changed, we decided not to build ... Fast forward to the present, when we needed to restore the build lot to its original condition; which would require demolition and removal of concrete structure including rebar, excavation, adding fill dirt, and grading of lot to create a natural slope and contour suitable for mowing. A major project! Working blindly and knowing virtually nothing about demolition, landscaping, or excavation, I took on the rather daunting task of researching options and identifying qualified area excavators. During this time, I spoke with dozens of SW MO area excavators, and finally narrowed down the list to about a half dozen vetted contractors with their cost estimates. Careful marketplace analysis, referrals, a website presence, responsiveness for quote, telephone interviews, all this due diligence helped to separate the pretenders from the presenters; which all pointed in only one direction, and that was Carr Excavating and Landscaping, LLC based in Galena, Missouri. I am delighted with their work and the finished landscape project; bought in under budget and on schedule. "Jo and Lee Allison are the owners of the company, and I found them via Angi. I was apprehensive in working with contractors before, but they changed my opinion. They were very attentive to my needs, not forcing anything at me. Listened carefully, and were very accommodating to help make the total project work right. Super friendly people that were nice to my wife and kids. They gave great value for reasonable price, and went above and beyond to ensure things I didn't even ask for were taken care of. Very competent in what they do, and I am happy with the two slabs they did for me of 13 yd3 in total. They also worked long days and even in the rain and at night to help make sure their work met the grade. I took care of the payment to the cement company and paid them separately, and it all worked out fine. I would definitely recommend them for their honesty, hard work, competency and good nature to take care of anyone with a home project."

"I recently purchased a brand new home in Hollister that has a really large unfinished yard. I needed someone that could do some leveling, spread a huge amount of pea gravel in the backyard for my dogs and also clean up a solid limestone rock wall that was still existing from the build out. He also dug out and buried gutter lines out for me on a massive slope that the builder did not attend to adequately. This is a stand alone, family owned business and the owner is highly dependable, communicative, knowledgeable, professional and incredibly affordable.
