"I hired Tim and team to repair and paint my popcorn ceiling that had water damage. They did an excellent job. In addition, I hired them to remove a tub/shower combo and replace with a larger footprint shower and also shiplap above the vanity along with new sinks and counter. All items were well done , even my retired contractor brother in law was impressed. I highly recommend Tim for any rehab jobs."

"Brandon did a great job explaining how he would clean everything and the results were amazing! I had tried to pressure wash some of our dock with poor results. Brandons hot water system made the dock surface, stairs, driveway, and sidewalks all look new. I plan to use him twice a year for maintenance going forward."

"I had Blair’s Pressure Washing come out to clean my back porch and patio, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! They were professional, on time, and super friendly. The difference before and after the cleaning was like night and day – years of grime and dirt gone in just a short time. Everything looks fresh and brand new again. Highly recommend if you need quality pressure washing done right!"

Pressure Washing questions, answered by experts

You can get more pressure out of your pressure washer by adjusting the pressure control knob clockwise to increase pressure (+). You can also check your nozzle for debris and clogs and remove anything you find with needle nose pliers. Switch to a nozzle with a lower-degree spray angle or a turbo nozzle to achieve more pressure at the tip. Check for leaks in the hose and connections, and make sure your water supply is offering enough pressure.

It is generally not recommended to use dish soap in a pressure washer. Dishwashing liquid is formulated for cooler water, and the warmer water used in a pressure washer can create excessive suds, potentially damaging the machine's tubing and other components. Always check the manufacturer’s instructions for recommended detergents. If you find yourself in a pinch, you can try a highly diluted solution, such as one tablespoon of dish soap per 1.5 quarts of water, to avoid clogging the machine.

You should always power wash your driveway before applying a sealant. At any given time, your driveway could be covered with algae and moss, tire residue, oil and rust stains, and any combination of leaves, twigs, and dirt. If you skip power washing, you’ll be trapping the dirt and grime beneath the sealant and lowering its chance of cementing itself to your driveway. While you can expect the cost to pressure wash your driveway to average between $100 and $350, the few hundred dollars beats an unattractive driveway or paying extra to reapply your driveway sealer.

Yes, you can, but you’ll need to acquire the right pressure washer tips and cleaning solutions for the job. In particular, you’ll need tips that are capable of lowering the pressure from a max of 3,500 PSI to between 150 and 300 PSI. As for the cleaning solution, look for options that are clearly marked for soft washing rather than pressure washing.

You should never use bleach in a pressure washer. While bleach is effective at killing mold and mildew, it is a potent chemical that can corrode the machine's seals and nozzles, destroying it from the inside out. Additionally, pressure washing with bleach sprays the chemical into the air, which is dangerous if inhaled and can kill nearby plants, flowers, or harm animals that ingest it. If you need to remove mold or mildew, it is best to hire a professional who will use a safe and effective cleaning agent.
