"I had planned on renting a pressure washer and doing this my self, but hadn't got around to it. I'm glad I hadn't because I wasn't aware that using cleaning solutions that robert explained to me is actually more efficient and keeps it clean longer. Before he left he asked about doing the sidewalk and I was skeptical but after he demo'd a spot I had him do that to plus he blasted the cracks clean so the little weeds that like to try and grow there haven't been back in weeks. Highly recommend"

"We hired Tim to paint the inside of our lake house. His bid was very competitive with the other bids we received. His customer service was excellent (he arrived for each meeting exactly on time and provided suggestions to make the job look even better). The work was professionally done and everything was kept clean and organized. The work turned out to be more complicated than expected as there was excessive bleed from the walls. He spent the extra time to make sure it looked good. He provided pictures and updates during the project. Tim is very personable and trustworthy. We will absolutely work with him again and highly recommend him."

Customers say: True professional

"We contacted Wells Professional Painting (Steve & Julie) September 2022 as we were wanted to have the exterior of the home stained/painted & several repairs completed prior to winter. They promptly came out and reviewed the house, discussed what needed to be completed and provided us with an reasonable estimate for the work to be completed. As with all quality professionals, they were booked out several months and were honest about being able to complete the work prior to the weather changing. The weather did not cooperate, but Steve & Julie did accommodate our need of having several of the repairs completed prior to winter and would not accept any payment until all the work had been completed. Fast forward to spring, they and their team came and did a beautiful job painting (solid stain) the house. Their entire crew was respectful, polite, hardworking, & cleaned up after themselves each day they were here. They were most accommodating with the changes and additions that were done throughout the project. Would definitely recommend them."

"Mack was very prompt to the job. He listened to what I wanted done and did a fantastic job. Some of the areas were very dirty and or had heavy mildew. He explained what he was going to do on each area. He power washed the house gutters and down spouts, a small, but very mildewed concrete retaining wall, upper deck and pvc railings including stairs, concrete pool deck and pvc fencing and a concrete patio under the upper deck."

Pressure Washing questions, answered by experts

It takes about 15 minutes per each side of an exterior house to apply detergent and 15 minutes to remove it, so you’ll need roughly two hours for the whole job. However, that length of time may decrease or increase depending on the size of your home, so always budget a little more than expected to ensure you don’t end up rushing to get it done.

Not pressure washing your driveway can lead to several consequences that affect both its appearance and its structural integrity over time:

  • Reduced Curb Appeal: A dirty driveway covered in grime, stains, and mildew detracts from your home's overall appearance.

  • Safety Hazards: The buildup of algae, moss, and mildew creates slippery surfaces. When wet, it increases the risk of slips and falls for you, your family, and visitors.

  • Structural Damage: Dirt, debris, and organic growth can trap moisture against the driveway's surface. In colder climates, this moisture can freeze and thaw, leading to cracks and deterioration of the concrete or asphalt.

While a pressure washer is certainly powerful enough to remove old and peeling paint, this is not a great idea to do yourself. The pressure washer is so powerful that you could actually damage the walls as you strip away the paint. It’s best to leave paint stripping to the pros.

The average cost to professionally clean or pressure wash a deck is around $150, with prices typically ranging from $100 to $600. Several factors influence the final price, including the deck's size, material, condition, and how long it has been since its last cleaning. For a smaller deck of about 300 square feet, you might pay around $100. For a larger deck of 1,000 square feet or more, the cost could be closer to $300 to $400. Decks that are very dirty or haven't been cleaned in years may require more time and special detergents, which will increase the price. The deck's material also plays a role. Wood decks often cost more to clean because they require a gentle power washing technique to avoid damage. Composite decks are typically less expensive to clean, and cleaning a metal deck may cost around $100.

Yes, you can technically use a pressure washer to remove paint from brick, but it comes with a significant risk of damaging the brick surface. A high-power pressure washer can be fast but may leave the brick looking unsightly. The recommended method is to first apply a chemical paint stripper, following the product's instructions, and then use a stiff metal bristle brush or a pressure washer on a low-pressure setting to remove the loosened paint. Due to the risk of damage, it is often best to hire a professional who can use low-stress methods.
