"I hired Quality Waterproofing to extend a buried downspout/sump pump drain that was poorly placed by a competitor 4 years ago. The competitor placed the pop up drain 10 feet from the house in a low spot, which created a swamp. Quality did an A+ job fixing the problem. They were timely, professional and UNDER budget. Very honest and high quality work. They even did some extra sodding and dirt work at no charge."

Dan and Danielle Randolph were able to see the vision that we had for our home and they gave creative input that made for a very unique set of custom cabinets! They operate with the utmost attention to detail--we are so pleased with the work they've done for us! Not only did they build the cabinets that we wanted, they also took on some "unfinished" projects that we needed for our new home--fixing a set of antique corbels that we wanted to use on our covered back porch, they also converted an antique fireplace mantel into a beautiful built-in book case that is in the center of our home. Skim coating is when you apply a thin layer of drywall compound to textured walls, creating a smooth surface. This can be done for relatively little money—skim coating costs an average of $600—and can be a simpler way to smooth a wall versus removing texture. Since you apply the skim coat directly on the texture, it is a faster process than removing the underlying texture altogether.  

Application typically takes 1-3 days, depending on the size of the area and the drying time for overlays or sealants.

Stamped concrete is durable, low-maintenance, and offers customizable designs that mimic stone or brick.

There are a few different types of finishes to choose from for the final step of the project. 

Water-based polyurethane sealants emit fewer odors and fumes but dry quickly, which can pose a challenge when trying to get a smooth coat. Oil-based polyurethane sealants let out more odors and fumes into the air (it’s especially important to wear a respirator if you choose this type), but they take longer to dry, which can be more forgiving during the finishing step. 

Some may prefer wood oil to polyurethane because rather than creating a layer, it becomes part of the wood. Wood oil takes longer to dry, and is less resistant to wear and tear; however, it creates a natural-looking result by enhancing the grain of the wood. 

Generally speaking, stain is a better option for concrete because it soaks into the surface and won’t get worn away like a topical paint will. Painting concrete increases the risk that moisture will get trapped beneath the top layer of paint, which wears concrete down over time. So long as you know how to prep concrete for staining, you'll maintain its strength after you finish your project.
