"Last November I spent $2700.00 for Solar to install new guttering on my home. Last week I started seeing problems with the guttering and when I contacted Solar, they sent out a rep to look at the guttering and according to him the guttering was a truly embarrassing work of installation. His comment after inspecting the guttering was " this guttering was not installed properly and I'll be surprised if this guttering even stays on for a year!" I am now responsible for, as they put it, "removing and properly reinstalling the gutters myself!!" Or spend the money once more for them to correct their incredibly shoddy workmanship by properly installing the guttering."

For over 25 years Chris Hooper's company has been providing it's customers with professional, quality service. You can trust us with all of your construction needs. We are licensed and insured, participate in continuing education each year to better serve our customers, and require that all of our sub-contractors be licensed and insured to protect you and your home. Chris Hooper founded Hooper Construction in 1986. Hooper Construction was dissolved and Chris incorporated under the name Hooper KC Inc in 2017...different name, but the same great service and quality work! His first trade as a drywall finisher helped develop and eye for detail that has been the bedrock of the company. The company services have expanded from drywall, to basement finishing, to room additions, and even to custom home construction. From a simple bathroom remodel in Prairie Village to a custom linear fireplace on the Plaza, through the years we have had the pleasure of working with the best customers and making their project dreams a reality!

"Found Matt on Craigslist - charming at first. Then he started texting and calling daily at 5am, when scheduled work time was 8am. Talks too much - lots of “you know what I mean? You know what I mean?” I have things to do - not interested in chit chat at 5am when we’ve already laid out the plan. He gave me a good quote but quickly said he forgot a few things, which extra totaled up to about $400. Tile job is ok, but no pencil marks for measurements were removed. I’ve spent a lot of time removing those. He also left broken tile in the garage and destroyed my trash bin container, which I ended up having to pay $55 for. Last straw was standing at the sink one day, after Matt had sent ME to Home Depot to get caulk. Apparently I didn’t get the right kind. He told Richard “she bought the wrong stuff, dumb.” Didn’t know I was listening. Buy your own caulk, dude. Be a better contractor. I would never ever use All Over the Floor again. Overpriced and super unprofessional. PS while Matt sucked on multiple levels, Richard was very cool and honest."

Hardwood Flooring questions, answered by experts

Yes, there are plenty of ways to lay stair carpet without grippers, such as carpet adhesive, magnetic flooring, or staples. Adhesive may be your best bet if you don’t want grippers, as it will most likely stick the best and cause the least amount of damage. However, if you’re looking for an easy fix, grippers are one of the best solutions you can purchase.

You can tell a carpet is good quality if it’s made of a soft, durable material and has a good face weight and density. When comparing two similar carpets, the higher the face weight, the more durable the carpet tends to be. The same goes for carpet density. A higher density of two similar carpets often indicates better quality. The ideal carpet face weight and density values depend on the carpet material and type.

Removing laminate flooring is fairly straightforward compared to removing other types of flooring. The planks click and lock into place, so you can pry them loose without much fuss. If you plan to reuse your flooring, you must be careful not to damage the plank or the locking mechanism that keeps it in place. If it’s in good condition, you can reuse it in another room.

If you’re having your flooring professionally installed, both cork and bamboo are natural options that ring in at an affordable price. These flooring materials may cost as little as $2 or $3 per square foot (for comparison, some hardwood floors cost upward of $20 per square foot), and they’re also sustainable and healthy. Keep in mind that each manufacturer will set their own prices, and labor costs will add to the overall price you pay.

The cost to put wooden flooring in an attic can run a wide range. Carpeting can cost as little as $1 per square foot, or even less if you opt for unfinished flooring types like rubber or painted plywood. On the high end, hardwood floors might cost as much as $45 dollars per square foot. For a previously unused space, you’ll probably need to add a subfloor which usually costs about $5 per square foot.
