"I called several floor Companies, fabulous floors were the first to respond and the first to come to my home. They were very knowledgeable about my problem and gave me a very fair estimation on the repair. In less than a week my floor was fixed and beautiful again. The repair did not need a whole bucket of glue for 80$ so I was not charged for it and in this day and age every little bit helps. I would like to thank Robert from fabulous floors for his expertise and compassion. I will always recommend their wonderful work and will be my only call if I ever have another flooring problem again. SLMorgan"

"James called me promptly and we were able to schedule the service two days out. He brought all the materials and when we found an issue, he suggested alternatives. We ended up patching a piece of the carpet and the seams are invisible. He did a quality job and cleaned up the room after he was done. I was very happy with the work."

In comparison, carpet tiles cost $2.50 to $11 apiece and can often be bought in bulk cartons. Since you can more easily DIY carpet tiles, you may be able to save on installation costs, too.

An Oriental rug should last between 50 and 100 years, on average, but yours could last much longer than a century if you care for it properly. There are many factors that affect the lifespan of an Oriental rug, though. Increased foot traffic, exposure to moisture, exposure to UV light and sunlight, and aggressive cleaning can all limit how long your rug will last.

Regular maintenance and professional repairs can extend the life of a carpet.

No, it works best under synthetic carpets in high-traffic or moisture-prone areas. Avoid using moisture barrier padding under natural fiber carpets like wool, which need air circulation. The barrier can trap the moisture against natural fibers and cause problems. Also, you can skip it in low-risk areas like upstairs guest bedrooms, where the extra protection often isn't worth the added cost.
