"On Wednesday 4/10/19, the installation crew from Anthony PHC exceeded my expectations. Duncan, Jacob, and Gary were a well oiled machine working together to replace the 19 year old HVAC system with a new York HVAC system. They were knowledgeable and efficient as they created by hand some of the various metal and PVC connections needed between the components of the new HVAC system, so that the new system would fit in the space allotted. They were a whirlwind of activity as they worked so efficiently, cooperatively, and pleasantly, together. They answered any questions I had as I watched them work. I like to see how such skilled work is done. Duncan even moved a couple of the controls for the humidifier down to where I could reach them more easily, even though I asked him to make that change as he was working on that very part of the installation. Jacob was very attentive to detail, and aesthetics, as he replaced the AC pad and AC compressor outside, after repositioning them to the left of where the old ones were, in order to meet the current city code (as one of the guys explained to me), and he surrounded the new compressor with the same stones and pavers, in a new attractive configuration, in their new location in the yard. They patiently remained calm and pleasant and attentive to details, even though, they had to stay over an hour longer than they normally would have because they had to trouble shoot error codes in the AC unit due to a new, yet defective, thermostat. Then they replaced the thermostat with a working one, and showed me how to operate it. I could feel the difference in air circulation almost as soon as the new A/C system was turned on. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that the air circulates more widely in the rectangular upstairs bathroom for the first time in the decades that we’ve lived here. Apparently that is due to the indoor metal box that the salesman told me they put beneath each new HVAC system (if the allotted space permits) to improve air circulation. The salesman who sold me the new system said that Anthony PHC is devoted to customer service, and customer satisfaction, and that certainly was my experience with that salesman and with these technicians. On Friday 4/12/19, I realized that the humidifier was not working as desired, so I called Anthony PHC, and within 2 hours Dean came and fixed the oversight. He exceeded my expectations, too, as he also addressed additional questions that have come up as I adjust to the new system. On Monday 4/15/19, Gary K. came out to reattach a portion of the tarp which protects the insulation on the garage ceiling. I look forward to having Anthony’s skilled technicians maintain this HVAC system in the years to come."

"Raul is awesome! Couldn't have asked for a better electrician to work on my projects. He is an expert and has a great work ethic. He installed a chandelier, light switch, and neon sign above my fireplace. He also rerouted wires in my guest bathroom and installed a vanity light. He also added three outlets in the house. Great work all around. I would definitely recommend him for anyone that needs electric work done."

"Daniel arrived on time and had the perfect solution for my needs. He installed multiple outlets and guided me through the process. We had a terrific conversation and completed the project precisely as we had discussed. We also talked about installations that Mister Sparky could provide for my future home. I appreciate Daniel's work, time and conversation. Thank you Daniel!"

"Jim for Donhohues Lightning Rods installed the lightning rod system in my home. When the work was done I was very happy as their installer came as per promised time, and perform the work. Before giving them the work Jim completely sold me their work ethics, quality, and service. There was a minor issue and his team took complete ownership of this issue and talked to me in detail. They provide a very good explanation to satisfy me. I am a happy customer."

When maintained properly, a whole-house generator can last up to 20 years. Costs to maintain and repair generators vary by location and type of generator, but you can expect to pay about $150 to $300 per year for annual generator maintenance checks. An experienced generator service technician will inspect your generator’s engine filter, starting mechanism, fuel, lubrication, and coolant levels to keep your generator in good working condition for as long as possible.
Installing a whole-house generator costs about $5,000 on average. Prices range from $1,550 to $8,500, depending on size, brand, fuel type, and assembly. The size of your whole-house generator is the most significant cost factor, with large homes with high energy demands costing the most to power. Types of whole-home generators include:
Portable generators with 1kW–7.5kW capacity: $500–$2,000
Partial generators with 9kW–20kW capacity: $2,000–$6,300
Whole-house generators with 22kW–48kW: $5,000–$18,000
When choosing the right size generator for your needs, consider a few items to help calculate the wattage you’ll need. Start by determining which household items and appliances you want to power, and then add the wattages together. Check out the wattage of these essential appliances:
Refrigerator: 600 watts
Large dehumidifier: 700 watts
Large window air conditioner: 1,400 watts
Water heater: 3,000 watts
Running home appliances like these requires a partial or whole-house generator. A portable generator may be enough to power your home if you only plan to keep a refrigerator and freezer running.
Here’s what you can run with different wattages and types of generators:
Portable generator:
2,000 watts can handle a large appliance like a freezer or refrigerator, plus a few smaller items like phones or computer chargers.
4,000 watts will keep two large appliances operating and a few smaller devices.
8,000 watts should power most essential appliances and other devices, including a sump pump, well pump, or your dishwasher.
Partial to whole-house generator:
20,000 watts and above will make it seem like your home’s power is still on.
The value of installing a whole-house generator is that your home has guaranteed power, even if the power grid in your area is down. Whether a whole-house generator is worth installing in your home depends on how often you use it, your home’s location, and your lifestyle. For example, installing a whole-house generator is likely worth it if you:
Experience frequent or prolonged power outages
Work from home
Store a lot of cold food
Have a sump pump
Have a pump for well water
Use electronic medical devices
Live in a climate requiring heating or cooling
