1. The meter combo panel was hung on the wall, and partial coordination with Evergy and KCMO was approximately 10/15/2025. Ruby Electric fail to get proper permits and advises homeowner of the current electrical requirements, with unsatisfactory workmen ship. a. The utility meter combo panel has to be properly grounded for 200-amp service. ***The water main cable and the grounding rod & cable are properly sized. **** Passing inspection **** b. The utility meter combo has not been properly weatherized for air and water infiltration. c. Complete coordination with Evergy for proper 200 amp service. d. Finish coordination with KCMO for proper 200-amp service upgrade. *** (The existing 100 amp panel has been discovered to be faulty. Burnt and Electrical Arcing from the Main 100A breaker. Possible fire hazard. PRECAUTIONS HAVE BEEN TAKEN. *** 100 amp breaker must be returned to homeowner. *** Expected ***QUALITY *** installation) *** 2. Ruby Electric foundational damage. a. Repair the foundation drilling error. b. Repair Rip Joist Baseboard entry drilling error.

I hired Ruby Electric for an electrical panel upgrade, and the experience was extremely frustrating. The project began on July 1st, 2025, and was not finished until today?over two months later. From the start, there were issues: electrical boxes were installed improperly, delaying drywall work, and we failed inspection once before finally passing on August 6th. Although the job is marked complete, the electrical box was installed too low, and there was visible drywall damage and multiple holes that were never repaired. The quality of workmanship was so poor that I had to fix the issues myself just to make it acceptable. Despite paying in full by July 2nd, I dealt with repeated delays, no-shows, and poor communication. Most recently, I was told a painter would arrive at 9:00 a.m., but they didn?t show until 10:00 a.m. While the work eventually ended, the unprofessionalism and substandard quality mean I cannot recommend Ruby Electric.

Showed up and helped me mount an electrical box, and barely charged me for it, felt more like a friend helping me out than a contractor, would recommend.

Electrical work was needed after a recent lightning strike. Ruby Electric was able to diagnose the problem and run new wiring down a wall through access in the attic. Everything was repaired in a reasonable timeframe and no evidence in the room that repairs were made.
