I am currently a member of the carpenter's union in St. Louis, MO. I have 6 years of experience working in the union including the flat roofers union. I specialized in TPO waterproofing for 5 years and have gained a broad range of skills in the carpentry industry. Most of my experience is in commercial construction such as installing wall paneling, door frames, windows and window blinds, concrete, and much more. Recently, I have been working with drywall and metal studs, along with exterior home siding. In addition to construction work, I am able to complete miscellaneous tasks like cutting wood, landscaping, power washing, and deep-cleaning homes and offices. I can also tint windows if interested. I am available for various types of labor work and am looking to assist anyone who needs help. Feel free to contact me at 573-450-0358 for any labor assistance!

I am a Journeyman Union Carpenter by trade but after 15 years left it to pursue other things. I have had rental properties and done hundreds of property rehabs and remodels over the years. I have a working knowledge of plumbing and electrical and I take pride in my work. I also rehab and refinish antique wood furniture and build custom furniture out of old wood and recycled materials. No job is too small and I enjoy meeting all the people that this kind of work leads me too.

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

After painting, air out the painted area for at least 48 to 72 hours by opening windows and using fans, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The process helps disperse volatile organic compounds (VOCs) the paint emits, reducing their concentration indoors. However, in some cases, especially with oil-based paints, airing out for extended periods may be necessary. Monitor air quality and continue ventilation until paint fumes dissipate significantly.

The best finish for wrought iron railings is either a semi-gloss or a gloss sheen, as each offers good durability against rain, wind, heat, cold, and snow.

You can use latex or acrylic paint outdoors. Although acrylic paint tends to last longer outside, it also costs more, so if you’re painting the outside of your house, for instance, latex paint is often a go-to option. However, acrylic will be your best choice if you want to spend some extra money for added durability.

Painting over stucco is a great idea when done correctly. It provides an opportunity to refresh and protect the exterior, improving a home's curb appeal. Moreover, it adds a protective layer against the elements, preventing moisture infiltration and reducing the risk of stucco damage. However, proper preparation, including cleaning, repairing cracks, and applying the appropriate primer, is crucial for a successful outcome. Using high-quality paint is also essential for long-lasting results. When done with care and attention to detail, painting over stucco can be a cost-effective way to transform and maintain your home's exterior.

Costs depend on roof condition, paint quality, labor, and whether additional repairs or coatings are required.
