"We saw their work a few years ago and was impressed with their work when they took down a tree for our neighbor. Today, we received a phone call, followed by an inspection of our tree and a quote for the total job we needed and ironically, their crew became available later in the day. So they were able to come and take down our tree, grind the stump, and clean up ALL debris in 1 1/2 hours. The crew of 5 worked so well together and the contact person was so professional too. We would highly recommend this company for tree removal."

"From start to finish the guys from J & D Forestry were great to work with. I first called them asking them to give me a quote for some land clearing for a future shed I was going to build. Pruning a tree is a yearly DIY job that involves removing small dead branches, leaves, and blooms to help the tree grow bigger and stronger. You can often complete the job with basic home gardening tools. Trimming a tree, however, removes larger sections to control the direction the tree grows in and protects your home, utility wires, and yard from potentially dangerous branches.

Dead trees are dangerous for several reasons. They are structurally compromised and prone to branch or trunk failure, which can pose a significant safety risk to people, vehicles, and nearby structures. Dead trees can also harbor pests like termites, which may spread to other trees or your home. If a tree died from a disease, it could spread the illness to healthy trees. Additionally, the dry wood is highly flammable, increasing fire risk.

A tree can grow back from its stump, but full regrowth is unlikely (especially for more stubborn conifer trees). Instead, trees are more likely to send up a number of shoots from the dead stump, which will try to develop into primary stems over time. In other words, it will start to look increasingly bushy. The goal of killing and drying out a tree stump is to prevent that from happening, as well as make the stump easier to completely remove.
