I am a Mobile Certified Welder based out of Jefferson City. I mainly work within a two hour radius of Jefferson City, but can travel further for larger projects. I have an associates degree in Welding Technology and have over 7 years experience. I'm AWS D1.5 certified and specialize in welding on MODOT and ARDOT bridges. I also weld on equipment and anything else that needs repairs or upgrades. I am outfitted to weld MIG, Stick, and flux core. I have experience welding steel, stainless, and aluminum. I take pride in my work and am willing to help out when I can on larger projects if I have to wait for welding to be completed.

Fencing questions, answered by experts

In Mexico, unexpected expenses during fence installation often arise from site-specific issues like clay-heavy soil requiring deeper post holes or added drainage. Homeowners might also encounter costs for property surveys, private utility checks, or removing obstacles such as trees along the fence line. Additional fees for permits, upgraded gate hardware, and protective treatments for wood fences are also common and should be anticipated.

Helpful?

In Mexico, leaning or rotting fence posts, sagging gates, or broken panels usually signal the need for fence repair or replacement. If you notice standing water near the fence, it likely points to a drainage problem best addressed by a landscaping professional. Damage from tree roots or shifting soil may require input from an arborist or grading contractor, while unclear boundaries call for a property survey before any new fence installation.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Mexico often balance durability, privacy, and maintenance when choosing fencing materials. For example, vinyl and composite fences withstand local humidity and temperature swings but require a higher initial investment, while wood offers a classic look with more frequent upkeep. Deciding on fence height can impact privacy and may trigger additional zoning requirements, so it’s important to weigh these factors alongside your timeline and neighborhood guidelines.

Helpful?

The climate in Mexico brings humid summers, heavy rainfall, and winter freezes, all of which influence fence installation and maintenance. Spring and fall offer optimal conditions for fence installation, as the ground is neither too wet nor frozen. To ensure long-term fence stability, choose materials that resist moisture and temperature shifts, and consider reinforced posts to withstand strong winds and shifting clay soil.

Helpful?

Postponing fence installation in Mexico can lead to property boundary disputes, increased pet escape risks, and potential code violations if deteriorating fences remain. Weather exposure accelerates wood decay and can shift fence posts, making repairs more extensive. Delays may also mean dealing with overgrown vegetation or harder ground conditions, which complicate future fence installation and can increase the likelihood of emergency repairs.
