"Andy was very promptly in contacting me regarding my request and did the shrub trimming and weeding shortly thereafter. Everything looks great & I hope to utilize him next spring. Not all lawn people will do more than just mowing. He even researched guidelines for our specific plants."

"I think they treated the wrong lawn. The note they sent me via text message referenced trees and shrubs in my yard, I have none. They also did not leave a yard marker showing they had been there. Otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review."

"I will gladly recommend Bryce for any lawn care needs! We had a very overgrown, unkept backyard in our newly acquired home. Bryce worked quickly, efficiently, communicated wonderfully, and made our backyard a beautiful place to be! Weâ re looking forward to working with CIM again!"

Lawns questions, answered by experts

In most cases, it’s better to remove rocks before adding mulch. Layering the two will restrict drainage and plant health, and can create an unpleasant texture underfoot.

There are a few ways to fix your lawn on a budget, including:

  • Identify the lawn care problem and learn how to seed, fertilize, and aerate your lawn.

  • Reseed old, damaged lawn with new grass that fares better in your environment.

  • Remove grass from your yard so you no longer need to worry about lawn care costs.

Dead trees are dangerous for several reasons. They are structurally compromised and prone to branch or trunk failure, which can pose a significant safety risk to people, vehicles, and nearby structures. Dead trees can also harbor pests like termites, which may spread to other trees or your home. If a tree died from a disease, it could spread the illness to healthy trees. Additionally, the dry wood is highly flammable, increasing fire risk.

There are tools known as “sprinkler donuts” that are specially designed to aid in cutting the grass around your sprinkler heads by protecting them from your mower or weed whacker. You can also use a pair of hand shears to do the job manually if you’re willing to get a little dirty.

It may not be worth it to rake every leaf in your yard, but it’s necessary to remove the majority of leaves to prevent them from smothering grass growth on your lawn. However, raking leaves isn’t your only option for leaf removal. You can remove leaves easily with a leaf blower or compost or mulch them with your lawn mower to repurpose them to help grow your garden or yard.
