"Jason answered promptly, arrived on time, professional and did our repair quickly. Since he was done so fast I hoped he wouldn't have charged as much as he did but it was definitely better price than the website quoted!! We will definitely use Jason for other projects!"

"Shawn did an awesome job. He was very good with communication, answering his phone each time I called and returning calls right away. He is very friendly and so easy to work with. With cold and snow, it was hard for him to work around the weather but Shawn power washed our deck, and painted it in between all the bad days. He was a delight to work with and the final result was just as we’d hoped. Our deck looks great! One last thing is he priced the job lower than 3 other quotes we got. We’re so glad we chose him as the price was great and the end result was even better. We will definitely refer him to others and will also use him again!"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Wood stain does go bad, but it will last in the can for between three and six years, provided you use proper storage techniques. Storing wood stain in open containers or in extremely low or high temperatures will cause your wood stain to become unusable much more quickly. Water- and latex-based wood stains typically last for just two to four years, while oil-based wood stains can last for three to six years.

It’s best to use an exterior latex acrylic paint to promote maximum adhesion to composite decking. This flexible paint type can better cope with the natural expansion and contraction that can occur with composite deck boards. Oil-based paints won’t adhere as effectively and are more likely to crack and peel as the boards flex. Testing whether your chosen paint will stick on an inconspicuous section or a spare board is a good idea.

You don't need to seal your deck after painting it because most exterior paints are waterproof and weather-resistant. While stealing is not necessary, it can add an additional layer of protection.

Ensure gutters and downspouts remain clean, monitor wall integrity, and promptly address any arising imperfections or peels concept permanence rooted.

It’s a good idea to sand your porch before painting. This will remove loose or chipped paint and debris, and give you a cleaner surface so that your new paint goes on smoothly. But if the existing surface is in good condition, it’s not necessary to sand your porch before you paint.
