"Locally owned and operated business with many years of professional quality pressure washing services. No matter how big a project we take, our team of professional technicians are ready to go all out to create the ideal results. We pride ourselves on bringing you the most excellent pressure washing services and making your home or business look its absolute best."

"Hired Midwest Premier Power Washing to do some power washing for a large grocery store I run. Because of my grocery storesâ hours of operation, I asked that the service be performed overnight rather than affecting customers. This was not a problem for them whatsoever. Amazing results at a fair price. Could not recommend more!!"

"To say I was unhappy would be an understatement! This company started off the job with no permit even though I specifically asked to have a permit. They came back started the work and did not give us the permit for almost 2 plus weeks into it after asking for it repeatedly. Within the first week of working one of their employees stole from us. They did replace the cost of the stolen item then we noticed that they shorted us an entire foot on the width of our deck without consulting us. Then we noticed some issues with the deck and called the inspector in who then called in a engineer and architect and we were given a huge list of things to be completed. We did try to work this out with the company but then the final blow was the roof that they installed caused structural damage to my home which greatly increased the cost to fix it they installed the roof to 2 x 4‘s instead of a header board So that caused weakness in the side of my home that span 30 feet across the back side of my house. The engineer described it as taking a bandsaw and slicing 30 feet across the back side of the house which we would of course create a great amount of weakness to the structure. They also reused 24-year-old peers which is a big no-no and is definitely not code. Another big mistake they made is they did not attach or screw in any of the peers that were holding up the deck they also did not submit any plans for the roof there for reusing peers that could not hold or sustain a roof was another big problem since they did not attach or screw into the posts they became all warped and twisted due to not being secured... Some of the decking was also not properly attached and lifted and warped as well. They also cut into the side of my house siding and recessed a fake post into the side of my house Which the engineer explained would be a big issue with leaking and mold. The list is much longer and I could go on and on but it would take hours to read."

Decks and Porches questions, answered by experts

We recommend hanging a porch swing at least 2.5 to 3 feet from the wall and about 17 inches above the ground to avoid damaging your home. You want enough clearance behind it and on each side of the porch swing to move around safely and avoid the chains rubbing against it.

Building codes typically require handrails if your porch is 30” or more off the ground. However, it's important to check your local regulations and building codes to make sure, as this can differ depending on your location. When in doubt, check with a local porch handrail pro, who will know the local codes and be able to get permits if any are required.

If you want to use the space beneath your second-story deck, then yes, an under-deck drainage system is worth it. Having a drainage system in place lets you run power to the area, so you can install a ceiling fan, lighting, TV, or other appliances to create a comfortable outdoor living space.

Professionals enhance safety by addressing structural issues, securing loose components, and using non-toxic materials. They ensure compliance with building codes and conduct thorough inspections to identify potential hazards. Their expertise minimizes risks, making the home safer during and after repairs.

To flatten a cupped deck board, start by ensuring it’s dry. Then, try flipping the board over so the cupped side faces down and reattach it. If that’s not possible, you can use screws to pull it tighter to the joists or plane the edges slightly to reduce the cup. It’s best to replace severely cupped boards.
