"Matt arrived on time and was efficient at replacing floor tiles. Do you think customer service is gone, well so did we until Matt Hemingway came to replace three broken tiles. He finished in 90 minutes and that included going back to hardware store for a different color grout because he didn't like the way it looked. When done you could not tell the floor had been fixed. Excellent job. Highly recommend."

"Prestige Surface Solutions did an amazing job recoating my front porch with a concrete overlay. The finish is beautiful. I am very happy with his work. James is very professional and his work ethic is unmatched. A man of his word. If you are looking for a solution with a 10 yr warranty that is nicer than paint and less expensive than epoxy, call"

"From fist visit to provide quote thru completing the project, I was very impressed on the attention to detail and ability to get project started quickly and taken care of. Everything from getting paint made to match a sample we had to making sure everything was clean when completed. Absolutely recommend!!! Some before and after pictures from ceiling water damage."

"I had an outstanding experience with Veteran Flooring for my wood flooring project in February 2025. Dale Wyatt, the owner, is highly knowledgeable, trustworthy, and reliable, delivering exceptional results at a very competitive price. The project was complex, involving wood installation over existing ceramic tiles, but Dale’s expertise ensured every detail was handled perfectly. His team, led by the professional and helpful Cory, worked efficiently and completed a quality job on time. I’ll confidently choose Veteran Flooring for all future projects. Highly recommended!"

"I could not be happier with the final product! The first pic is the old bathroom from the 60s when the house was built. The rest are the final rebuild and it looks great. I would highly recommend VMK Remodeling for any project that you might have. I am also going to get a bid on redoing the deck on the back of the house as Vince's company does decks as well! Thanks to his great crew as well, great people to work with."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Epoxy paint is a popular option for concrete due to its durability and stain resistance. You can also use masonry paint, which adheres well to concrete. Acrylic paints are more affordable but not as durable. Concrete stain is another option, which is more durable than paint and won’t peel over time.

Yes, you can seal old concrete, but proper preparation is essential. Before sealing, ensure the concrete is clean, dry, and free of any old sealant. To check if resealing is necessary, place a few drops of water on the surface; if they are absorbed in less than five minutes, it's time to reseal. If you are using the same type of sealer that was previously applied, you may not need to remove the old layer. However, if you are applying a different type of sealer, the existing one must be removed. Additionally, repair or fill any cracks to create a smooth base before you begin sealing.

Concrete is extremely porous. Without a proper sealing, it will absorb just about anything it comes in contact with, including water and ice. During the colder months with freeze-thaw cycles, this could cause the concrete to crack and become damaged in other ways. You always want to seal your cleaned concrete surfaces after they’ve completely dried out.

Exterior paint finishes come in a variety of options, but for concrete, your best bet is to go with an eggshell, satin, or semi-gloss latex paint. All three options are more durable than matte finishes and should help hide imperfections on your home’s concrete surface.

The prevention steps are essentially the same, no matter the patio material. Keep the surface clean and maintained. Ensure there's no debris buildup, and cover the whole thing in a quality sealant. If it's the start of a season or it's been a while since you've cleaned the area, use a pressure washer.
