It was their mission to create a home improvement company that offers high quality home improvement goods at the best possible value. What began as two guys in a 350 square foot office quickly grew to become one of the nation's leading remodeling companies. Today, Universal Windows Direct represents thousands of customers and has a rapidly growing network of locations nationwide, all of which are actively involved in the communities they serve. Universal Windows Direct opened Universal Windows Direct of St. Louis to serve St. Louis customers in 2017.

"Once again (my 4th time using this company), Stan and his crew came through to save the day. Late last week during heavy rain, I heard rain water dripping into my chimney, and it was coming out of the Electrical outlet next to our bed. I went out to see my old aluminum vent had been pulled up by the wind, and had exposed my chimney directly to the rain. I texted Stan the next morning, and within 4 hours his crew showed up, climbed up 3 stories, and cut the old vent off, and capped the chimney so no more water could get in. They were very professional, first, they checked all the bricks, and put extra mortar into several that needed it. Then they carefully sealed on a large piece of concrete board. I use Stan Mauk Tuckpointing exclusively for my brick house now, I dont even ask for estimates. I just ask to have the work done, and pay them after they've completed it. I couldn't be happier with the work, the Price, and Stan Mauk as well."

"It has been a pleasure to do business with Ahmed construction. They provide very fair price on bidding. The administrative project manager Mr Albert is a hard working guy. Him along with the Mr Judy did the decking and replaced some studs on an addition remodel project. I highly recommend Ahmed construction and I will hire them again for any future project"

"The company was able to get top of the line materials and gave us a great price.  The laborers and foreman worked tirelessly, rarely taking a break and only then to quickly eat a sandwich before resuming their work. The craftsmanship was excellent and the deck, while always a big part of our family living space, is now beautiful.

"Constructors 911 replaced our roof and skylight. I was pleased with the entire process and end result and would use them again. We negotiated this with the purchase of our property so the sellers obtained the bid. The price was similar to a bid I obtained. The office was always helpful answering my questions about the work bid and scheduling. They were also prompt about providing requested paperwork. Everyone I came in contact with was pleasant and knowledgeable, the poor delivery guys had to work in a pretty tight place between a power line and a tree but they did great. The trailer delivery and pickup was friendly and had no problem parking in a kind of snug spot between the garden and the porch. All the roofers arrived early to try to beat the heat and worked diligently, especially with the cleanup. They had blowers and magnet rollers to make sure they picked everything up, it even looked like they swept the porch, I was very pleased with how they left the place. The roof looks great and this was a really hassle free experience, I would recommend!"

Stucco questions, answered by experts

To repair damaged exterior stucco, you’ll first remove all loose and crumbling material from the damaged area. You then need to thoroughly clean the area and dampen it to ensure proper bonding. After that, you’ll apply a bonding agent to the repair area, then apply new stucco in layers, allowing for curing time between each layer. The final coat should be textured to match the surrounding stucco pattern as closely as possible. Once fully cured, the repaired area can be painted to match the rest of the wall if needed.

Yes, you can screw directly into stucco. Only do so if the item you are installing is a permanent fixture. Drill a pilot hole into the stucco using a masonry or concrete bit, then drive in the screw with a power drill or screwdriver.

Homeowners insurance generally won’t cover stucco damage unless it’s caused by a covered event like a storm or fire. You’ll need to pay out of pocket for damage caused by age, wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or faulty installation. Consult your policy for the specifics of what stucco damage is covered and what isn’t.

Stucco repair can best be described as a patch. It involves identifying the problem and fixing that specific damage with additional stucco. If no mold infiltration or an underlying leak is causing the damage, repair is most likely all you need.

Remediation, on the other hand, involves removing the existing siding, fixing the underlying cause of the damage, and then reapplying stucco siding for that wall. It’s a more permanent fix that takes longer to complete and, hence, comes with a steeper price tag than repair.

Quikrete will set without mixing. The process of pouring dry concrete into your concrete form and then adding water is called dry pouring. While this method makes pouring concrete simpler and easier, it reduces its strength and durability. It can be a viable option for small, decorative concrete pavers for walkways or for setting fence posts, but it’s not ideal for pouring slabs that will bear any significant amount of weight.
