"Three guys showed up and started working. They were done in 2 hours. I wish I had taken before pictures, because you can’t begin to understand what shape things were in when they started. They did a beautiful job. Even went above and beyond by pulling weeds from between the bricks in my patio. That wasn’t part of the job. They rocked an area out by the alley. I had not ask for new weed barrier there, but they put it down because the old barrier was almost non existent. I am so thrilled! I will most definitely hire them next spring. I waited far too long this year thinking I could get it done myself."

"Finishing Touch Landscaping exceeded all my expectations! Our property had a problem of water runoff causing serious soil erosion that required some excavation, installation of an extended drainage system, installation of railroad ties, topsoil and regrading. The cost estimate was very competitive with other local landscapers and all work was done in a very professional manner. Frank Davis is more than just a landscaper; he is an experienced problem-solver and came up with suggestions that added value to the project without exceeding the budget. He has experienced workmen and makes it his business to supervise the project in person."

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

The least strenuous methods to get rid of leaves are to use a leaf blower, leaf vacuum, or a lawn mower, since these machines will do most of the work.

To remove a shrub, start by cutting back the shrub using pruning shears, loppers, or a chainsaw. Next, dig around the base of the shrub with a pointed shovel to expose its root system. Then, use a shovel or a mattock to loosen the roots, making it easier to pull or lift the shrub from the ground. For larger shrubs or stubborn root systems, attaching a chain or strap to the base and using a vehicle to pull it out can be effective. Ensure proper disposal of the shrub and its debris following local waste disposal guidelines.

Many tools are effective in helping you remove hedges. While heavy machinery is likely the best option for making quick work of hedge removal, your trusty hand spade shovel is probably the next best. Use a spade shovel to dig around the hedge and break roots as you go with the tool. Your spade is also useful for getting deep underneath the root ball, so you can insert a pry bar to help lift the plant.

Don’t pick up dirt after aerating. Even though it's tempting because soil cores are incredibly unsightly, these cores and the dirt they leave behind are ecologically important. This is what keeps your grass looking beautiful and growing healthily. The soil cores need two to three weeks to decompose, but you can swat them with a rake if their natural shape bothers you.

Trimming or removing trees promotes safety, prevents interference with structures or utilities, and enhances the aesthetic and health of the property landscape.
