"So bad I cant describe. The painters simply power washed the house. Then they may have put epoxy/paint on. No paint scraping was done. The painters painted unevenly, missed places and painted areas they should not have. My stained deck was painted. My yard and bushes were painted. My driveway had paint on it. Areas that should have been taped on the house were not. My foundation of my house was painted. The painters left their trash in my yard. Now I have them coming back for the 3rd time to see if they can undo the damage they did. This is so bad I think it may not be fixable..."

No, painting shower tile doesn’t last and is better reserved as a temporary solution to refreshing the look of old tiles. Shower tile paint may last around one to five years, depending on how well you prep the surface before painting, the type of paint you use, the type of tile in your shower, and how often you use the shower.

After painting, air out the painted area for at least 48 to 72 hours by opening windows and using fans, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The process helps disperse volatile organic compounds (VOCs) the paint emits, reducing their concentration indoors. However, in some cases, especially with oil-based paints, airing out for extended periods may be necessary. Monitor air quality and continue ventilation until paint fumes dissipate significantly.

It’s less expensive to paint shutters than to replace them. The average cost to repaint all of the shutters on a house is $350. That’s roughly half the cost of replacing shutters, which is around $720. Many variables go into these figures, of course. Installing new vinyl shutters, one of the cheapest materials, might save money compared to a couple of coats of expensive oil paint. Most of the time, though, painting saves money.

You can clean water-based paint from brushes in the sink and allow the waste water to go down the drain. However, one tip to remember during a painting project is that it's illegal to allow oil-based paint or its cleaning solutions, even organic ones, down the drain and into the sewer system.
