"First off, Scott and father are the nicest folks I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Scott and father are friendly, neat clean, trustworthy, and professional at what they do. I had them remodel two rooms in my house. They re-done the walls and ceilings, painted, installed new trim, added wainscotting and new laminated floor. They started the job when promised, showed up on time each day until done. They even cleaned up after them selves. This job took a little over a week. I highly recommend them, and will use them again when needed !"

"Alan covered everything in plastic, then repaired cracks in bedroom.  Then he repaired small section of ceiling  with popcorn by fireplace and cleaned up everything when he was done. Very very good job ,would recommend him .very nice .

"Mike and his crew were very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. They made a beautiful screened porch out of an existing patio. There was an issue with the flooring but we got it resolved. As long as there is no flaking or other wear, a new coat of paint might be just the thing to refresh the old ceiling. The best way to paint a popcorn ceiling is to use either a paint sprayer or a thick roller to cover the popcorn texture fully. (Do not forget to dust it off beforehand!)

“Note that if you eventually want to remove the popcorn ceiling, a painted ceiling is a labor-intensive job to remove and will cost more,” says Bob Tschudi. “Once painted, the process of removing the popcorn ceiling requires physical scraping as opposed to a spray-and-scrape approach. It’s very labor-intensive, and thus more costly.”

The easiest way to remove texture from walls is the soak-and-scrape method. You’ll need to spray a section of the wall with water and let the water soak in and soften the texture. Then, you need to scrape the texture off using a drywall taping knife. This method works best with unpainted walls since paint prevents water from saturating the textured joint compound.

After removing any type of skylight, you have a few options for the ceiling. You can patch and repair the ceiling to match the surrounding area, ensuring a smooth and seamless finish. Alternatively, you can install a light fixture or a ceiling fan in place of the skylight to maintain functionality and enhance the room's lighting and ventilation. Ultimately, the choice depends on your preferences and the specific requirements of the space. No matter what you choose, you’ll probably want to call in a pro to help.
