"WOW!! Superb work and people! We were recommended to All Dry through our plumber & they showed up so promptly to help when I accidentally flooded the sink in our bathroom that went through the ceiling. They even helped me chase my puppy that got loose & was zooming around the neighborhood. All around great people to work with as well as being highly professional. They equipment they had helped with documenting the damage, temperature, and where the water had spread. They kept images and thermal images to show the progress day by day. They returned each subsequent day to re-evaluate. They even got us up and going DAYS before our home refinance appraisal so that it could be done without a hitch!! They were honest with us and didn’t want to seal up water in the ceiling just for the sake of the appraisal and discussed the health implications of doing so. Very knowledgeable and trustworthy company. Truly want to help their customers!! Can’t thank them enough!! Helped us to cut costs as well & the price wasn’t even as steep as it could have been. They really did so much extra work and even had to deal with removing our complex chandelier to help the dehumidifier system pull more liquid from the ceiling. I digress but seriously even put up a barrier system to wall off the necessary areas upstairs and downstairs for more efficiency. I’ve never seen that before, very neat! Also reasonably priced and the easy payment system through Angi’s would make it a simple transaction for anyone. They went above and beyond & we really appreciatedit!!! I hope we don’t have a situation in the future that we’d need their services again but if we do, I’ll feel at ease knowing it’s those guys!! Jason and Jeremy were absolutely wonderful to work with!"

"It was nice to have a honest person doing work on my home. He was fast to come out and bid the job, and said that he would come out the next day to fix it. He bet his arrival time and got started right away. After the job was completed he checked his work and picked up the work site. This guy will answer all your question and does great work at a fair price. You will not be disappointed."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can mount a TV on plaster walls—as long as you attach it to the studs. Alternatively, you can use toggle bolts, molly bolts, or another type of hardware that’s strong enough to support a TV.

If you aren’t comfortable with this type of project, you can hire a pro. The cost of mounting a TV to a plaster wall ranges from $25 to $600 (or more), depending on the TV’s weight, size, and other factors.

Wall anchors are suitable for drywall and plaster walls, which are common in most homes. However, different wall materials may require specialized anchors. For concrete or masonry walls, you'd typically use concrete anchors. When dealing with other wall types, such as brick or tile, specific anchors designed for those materials may be necessary. Always consult with a hardware specialist or check the manufacturer's recommendations to ensure you select the appropriate anchors for your specific wall type.

It's generally recommended to hang drywall on the ceiling first before moving on to the walls. This sequence allows the ceiling sheets to provide support for the vertical wall sheets. By attaching the ceiling drywall initially, you establish a solid framework to align and attach the wall panels accurately. This method ensures a seamless and sturdy connection between the ceiling and walls, resulting in a more professional finish.

The easiest way to cut holes in drywall for electrical boxes is to use a spiral saw with a drywall router bit. Hang the drywall without cutting out a hole for the box, but make sure you measure and mark where the box is located on the wall. Once you screw in the drywall sheet, drill a small hole into the box void, insert the spiral saw bit, and move it around the edge of the box using the inside wall as a guide. You can also use an oscillating multi-tool with an electrical box cutout for fast, professional results.

Drywall can be toxic to the environment and to humans in some cases. As drywall breaks down in a landfill and comes in contact with other organic chemicals, it can create hydrogen sulfide gas or leach into the groundwater. Additionally, the CDC recommends methods for controlling the inhalation of drywall dust when handled. While the common ingredients of drywall—gypsum, silica, and mica—are naturally occurring, they can cause irritation in some humans.
