David imparted tips on how to deal with scrapes and marks, as well as how to paint doors. They vacuumed when done and removed all they had brought in. At Plasterworks we mainly perform plaster work new and old renovations as well as ornamental plaster and any stucco applications as well. We have a fifth generation plasterer leading our crews and also have several artists to refurbish existing broken ornamentals or make a new design if desired. Our quality of employees is equally matched to our quality of work. We can also perform all other aspects of construction with exception to plumbing and electrical, but can manage and coordinate this for you as well. We have been in business for 5 years now. Our lead man has 46 years experience as a fifth generation Plasterer.

"Overall the price seemed fair, but I felt like I had to probe to get important details rather than them being explicitly explained and discussed up front. Some of the questions I had to ask about included 'What type of paint is used?' and 'What will you do with furniture?' While we were upfront about needing to make a decision regarding who to hire, the bid came in a day later than promised (and again, only after I asked a second time for it). I also asked about a 10% coupon that is mentioned on Angie's List and was told it was automatically included, yet there was no itemization for it in the bid. I recognize that I have fairly high expectations when it comes to communication and level of detail provided by companies I hire, so that is something to consider when reading this review. I am sure they would have done a fair job, although I doubt the quality of the paint they use (Pro Mar 200) compared to Duration or Cashmere.

"After removing all the cabinet doors, they began prepping the outside of the cabinets. And then began cutting and gluing, which is a white laminate, to the outside.  Their application and cutting were very precise and very well done.  All doors and hardware were attached.

Next they proceeded with the countertops.  Since we were not installing granite, just new Formica, they were able the remove the old Formica and then lay the new on the existing base.

They then proceeded to install the new garbage disposal, double sink and faucet set.

The product is holding up very well.  I was a bit leery of going with white, but that's what I wanted, and I am extremely pleased at how easy it is to keep clean.  It still looks brand new!

We have nothing but praise for Sears and their personnel.  The saleslady was extremely helpful in guiding me to make the right choices.  As I said previously, we are also very pleased with the installers.  They would be welcomed into our home for more work if needed.

They did a complete and excellent cleanup, including hauling away the old cabinet doors for disposal.  Overall, I think the job took only two (or three) days.

Overall we are extremely pleased with the job.  Not only has it added value to our home, but it has added value to our enjoyment of our home.  

Price wise, they were over two other estimates.  However, those were individual contractors; we weren't able to check them out. The extra we paid was well worth the security we felt by dealing with a well known company and knowing if a problem occurred, they would make it right.  The difference in the estimates was only about $2,000.00."

"The window installation went pretty well overall, and the installers were courteous and cleaned up after the install.  There were some glitches, as would be expected with any job, but most of those were taken care of pretty quickly.  The pane inserts were installed crooked at the factory, but new windows were reordered and reinstalled, and the pane inserts are now straight. The wood replacement was pretty extensive, but was replaced well. Because of how much wood needed to be replaced, Matt called us and offered a deal on painting the exterior, since the paint would not have matched what was already there.  The painters were very efficient, the foreman showed us everything they needed to address,  and the paint job was excellent.
Our main concern with Vantage Point, and this is reflected in our ratings, is the poor communication between them and us.  There was more than once when we would send an email, with no reply for several days to a week, with one gap of 3 weeks.  We understand that they are busy with other clients, but we don't feel that is a reason to not respond to an email .
We are happy with the ending result, the windows and house look great. Would like to see the company revamp their communication processes before we would use them again
