"They were able to do the very specialized repair that needed to be done to my steel plate that none of the other companies would even really give me a safe bid on. I would absolutely use their services again in the future if I need to."

"I wasn't too happy with the results we got when trying to get a bid from Young. After coming out and getting my ideas and measurements they came back saying that they were going to decline the offer saying due to time sensitivity and budget they were not going to be able to submit a bid. When originally speaking with Young he said time shouldn't be an issue if we got started right away and never asked me my budget range before coming out. Personally, I don't think the job we were asking to get done was worth what they were trying to put it in the price range of (50-75k). I guess I'll just have to look in to a smaller company that seems more reasonable...  "

"One thing Shawn arranges for is to have a lady come in and clean/dust everything after they are done with dry wall sanding and such. That was a nice bonus.  He also found a spectacular carpet cleaner guy to get out stains and wax tracked in on carpeting. Carpet still looks great!

Shawn has a helper named Mike, and Mike is a hard worker. Mike shows up on time, and works as long as he has to without complaining. Shawn does have sub contractors for dry wall and painting.  His painter (Melbin) does an awesome job, but some of the guys that help Melbin are rather sloppy, leaving paint in sinks and splatters on counters.  Shawn made sure it was all taken care of later on though.  Shawn's dry wall guy (Carlos) knows how to get the job done pretty well, but wasn't very conscientious about making sure surfaces were protected (like floors, carpets, etc) from the dry wall compound, and he dumped the waste down in the street sewer- a big "no-no."
I agree with another reviewer that stated Shawn seems to have a lot of things suddenly "come up" and seems to have too many "irons in the fire." There were several times when Shawn didn't show up when he said he would. Sometimes we would be contacted as to why, other times not.  I think this is common among contractors, unfortunately. They seem to have a whole different concept of time.

Shawn finished the job within a week of our deadline. We had some unexpected add-ons that understandably lengthened the job. "

"I was skeptical when Craig informed me that this could be done in a week.  Well, even after we added a new ceiling, paint and more tile work, it was done in a week and one day.  Amazing.  We LOVE our bathroom and only wish we would have done this earlier. Our team consisted of Luke, Quentin and Matt.  My husband informed me that he kind of missed them when they were done.  We had the tub and tile removed, vanity taken out, toilet removed.  They put in new subfloor, added new tile, new tub, new plumbing, new vanity, new toilet, new light fixtures and exhaust fan.  They painted the room, added a wonderful tile recessed cubby in the shower, painted the walls and did tile trim.  They also fixed our ceiling (who ever thought of popcorn ceiling?).  We are so very impressed.  Thank you, Building Pro Bath Systems.  I expected clean and functional and got beautiful."

Glass Block questions, answered by experts

Regular cleaning with non-abrasive cleaners helps prevent buildup and maintains clarity.

Their thickness depends on application, but most glass walls are typically 3/8 to 3/4 of an inch thick. Although it’s not as common, single panes of glass can also be 1 inch thick.

Luckily, glass block windows need minimal maintenance. Other than regular cleaning, the only maintenance involved in having a glass block window is inspecting for cracks every year and applying sealer to the mortar joints if the blocks are set in masonry mortar. Glass block windows hold up well against wind and moisture better than traditional windows and are not prone to rot.

Yes, many professionals provide custom-cut glass replacements for enclosures that require precise sizing.

DIY is possible for small projects, but professional installation ensures proper sealing, structural integrity, and a precise finish.
