Perhaps they are much higher and thats why they assumed we wouldn't hire them (although in the end, it was just them and one other contractor but they made the decision for us, I guess.) I am not sure what we did wrong but since I have never had to go through a homeowner's insurance claim before, I am not sure if it's cool to get several quotes or not. I just figured I'd look around for the best contractor with the best estimate. I can't tell you how their work would have been. Who knows, since they didn't like knowing we'd compare them."
