As a single mom of 4, I had been incredibly direct, honest, exuberantly communicative and at times, very emotional and angry toward Andy and Keys to the Lake, yet with very good reason. After repeatedly notifying Andy and Keys that there was an emergency leak in my bathroom and mold appearing on the ceiling of a bedroom below, they continued to not acknowledge or address either of those problems. They allowed one repairman to come and wipe the mold off the ceiling with a bleach solution and tell me that the leak was too "insignificant" to repair. He then informed me it was safe for me and my children to move back in. I refused. I am incredibly smart, resourceful and extremely protective of the health and well-being of my kids, as any good mom would and should be. After providing Keys with the results of a mold test and a report furnished by a professional home inspector, specifically saying "substantial mold growth in the concealed space between the main-level floor and the basement-level ceiling cannot be eliminated, and the presence of mold in the air has been confirmed. The basement ceiling should be opened to expose the concealed space, determine the extent of probable mold growth and moisture damage, and make necessary repairs.", still nothing was done. Days after receiving this mold report from me (5, if I'm not mistaken), someone showed up at the home I rented, without my prior knowledge or consent, to allegedly make all necessary repairs: "Lake Area General Maintenance repaired your showerhead and the ceiling issues downstairs today. At this time, the owners feel all of the necessary repairs have been made, and the home is available for you to move back into. They are not willing to compensate you for any lost time out of the property." So, what I observed on the evening of Tuesday, June 25, in the home I had lived in prior to June 10, was a little spackle in some nail holes that Repairman #1 had poked in the ceiling downstairs when he wiped the mold down. I also observed that the toilet seat in the bathroom had been left up. Beyond that, nothing further had been done. Upon closer examination, turning on the shower head upstairs still elicited a leak from the ceiling down below. Granted, the leak did take a few minutes longer to drip as the nail holes had been spackled over. No drywall had been opened up anywhere. Anyone can deduce that there has to still be mold and moisture between the two floors of that home. Any reasonable person should not have to ask for help and emergency, necessary repairs and wait for 16 days and two "repair people" to come into the home and NOT fix either of the two issues that I had explicitly and specifically made them aware of. It was made clear to me that Keys and Andy didn't work on the weekends and that they wouldn't contact the homeowners on the weekends. My children and I had not easily or conveniently had access to our thing or our home for 6 weeks before we finally settled and were released from our lease in small claims court! I lived in an unsafe environment, with my 4 children, for potentially 2 1/2 months. I invested a great deal of my personal money to upgrade the cleanliness and hygiene of that home to make it suitable for my family. I will never get that back. I certainly didn't move into the house intending there to be mold and a leak that would be ignored by two repairman. It also really added insult to injury to receive a call from Keys to the Lake on Tuesday, June 25, telling me that a late fee had been added, and that my June rent was past due. I paid my rent in their office personally, and spoke to Andy Gibson himself, as I handed over the check, on June 3! The check cashed on my bank on June 6. Andy apologized for the "accounting error". Under normal circumstances, that could be easily forgiven. Under my current circumstances, trying to collect double rent plus a late fee on a home that isn't even suitable to live in is ludicrous!!
Mark Krants, owner of Keys, stated in our small claims hearing, that his business was not responsible for what my family and I had been through as there was no mention of mold or a leak on our move in inspection report. I'm not going to comment further on that statement as it speaks for itself, except to say that the house had also not been lived in for about 6 months prior to our moving in. This mean no water had been run for that entire time, although I believe the mold and leak had been present long before that. I would be glad to elaborate on any or all of this information, should anyone have any questions of me. Thank you!

The handyman was polite and thorough in his inspection and questions. We had to reschedule the work once due to weather, but he came within a week of the original appointment. I liked that he showed me what he was doing, explained why the damage may have occurred, inspected to make sure no further water damage was likely, and was meticulous with sealing the work he did. He even caulked where the nails went into the siding and gave me instructions on staining the section he repaired. He asked me about the materials and the store where he was going to purchase them before he made the purchase. He cleaned up after the job was done. The final price was exactly as bid. I would definitely call them again."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mo/chesterfield/handyman-connection-of-chesterfield-reviews-97791.htm"},"position":10}]}

It went well and the job was finished quicker than expected. The only complaint that I had was that the salesman was not as informed about the flooring that would work well with my home and the type of flooring had to be changed after the installation crew came in to inspect the subfloor....
They showed up on time and with all the tools required. The husband and wife team were thorough and methodical in their inspection and provided me an explanation when asked. It was clear that Denny's years of experience in the construction industry and doing inspections were invaluable. It...

We are a masonry company that has serviced the Vernon and surrounding counties in Southwest Missouri for over 25 years. My name is Caleb mason , my Brother Marc and I are second generation bricklayers who's Father instilled in us an extreme amount of pride and integrity. It's not only our job its our name.
"Very Unprofessional and terrible to work with. I have been dealing with this company for 6 months. They were bricking my house so slowly that many people thought I was bricking the house myself in my spare time. Workmanship details are terrible. Many of the walls didnt even get proper through wall flashing, several walls with no weep holes or flashing. They stated they were finished and I paid them in full after giving the house a once over. They stated " we take pride in our work and let us know if theres anything we missed and we will come take care if it" I am now finding more and more issues that were said to have been completed and they wont return my calls or messages. Not to mention the job ended taking just over 6 months to brick my house and costed 4-5k more than the contract. Towards the end they were actually using bricks from a previous job that weren't even the correct color. Beware! Learn from my mistakes and do not hire"

FAQs for chimney inspection projects in Camdenton, MO
The average cost for a professional chimney cleaning is around $250, but prices range from $130 to $400 or more, depending on a few factors. Some things that have an impact on your total include the size of your chimney, the number of chimneys cleaned, and how accessible the chimneys are.

In addition, gas fireplaces can cost between $2,500 and $10,000.
The National Fire Prevention Agency (NFPA) recommends chimney sweeping once per year as a means of avoiding house fires and massive property damage. Over time, creosote and soot build up in your chimney from burning wood and a lack of ventilation. Chimney sweeping removes any residue and helps reduce the risk of property damage and personal injury from fire.
