"Very pleased with his work and prices and was very prompt from the time I talked to him initially to getting the unit ordered and getting it installed. Cleaned up after and hauled off old unit. Would recommend him to anyone looking to replace their old havc equipment. R Stafford"
Framing the support structure for a second-story deck addition. Pressure-treated posts and beams being installed to extend the outdoor living space and reinforce structural integrity. Project located in a residential backyard setting with access to existing patio slab.
We replaced an aging, inefficient HVAC unit with a new high-efficiency system to improve cooling performance and energy savings. The original unit was outdated, sitting low to the ground, with declining performance and airflow issues caused by poor drainage and landscaping.
In-progress installation of a high-efficiency air handler and furnace system. Wiring in place, connected to updated ductwork with adjacent water heater visible. Clean layout and spacing prepared for final paneling and system test.
Wall-mounted mini-split indoor head unit installed in an unfinished insulated wall. This high-efficiency ductless system provides both heating and cooling for zoned comfort.
Vintage mechanical thermostat from an early 1900s home. A visual reminder of how much heating and cooling technology has advanced. We specialize in upgrading outdated systems with smart, programmable thermostats to improve comfort and efficiency.

"They did a wonderful job and were great to work with. They replace some porch boards, painted the garage door and front door, replaced weatherstripping around garage, painted the trim around the front of the house and the windows as well as painted the porch. They had started work and had to pause because of a storm but were really prompt about rescheduling to two days later and got the job done really well. Would definitely recommend and we plan to hire them again!"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Yes. Your air supply should be balanced. The return and supply ducts need to maintain that balance, and this only occurs because an equal amount of air should be entering and leaving your HVAC system. Changes in pressure, extreme weather, and blocking vents with furniture or your stuff can make the air supply unbalanced and cause your home to get too cold or hot.

Aside from needing HVAC repair, there are times when you may need to replace your unit. HVAC replacement costs $5,000 to $12,500. Here are some telltale signs that your HVAC unit is going bad:

  • Your unit is 10 years or older.

  • Your home is very humid.

  • The unit keeps cycling without producing cool air.

  • You need to repair the unit frequently.

Yes, it's normal for air conditioners to leak tiny amounts of water due to condensation. Under normal circumstances, all excess moisture travels to the drain pan to be pumped through your system's drain line. You should call a technician to diagnose the issue if you're noticing frequent leaking or pooling. It's also important to investigate if your homeowners insurance can cover water damage.

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers, or ASHRAE, sets the standard guidelines for air changes per hour in homes and businesses. The International Residential Code, or IRC, also sets ACH requirements for residences and bases those requirements off of ASHRAE standards plus climate specifics related to your location.

Air conditioners and dehumidifiers are actually quite similar, though they perform different jobs. Dehumidifiers reduce moisture in the air, while air conditioners work to cool the home. A good central AC unit will naturally perform a certain level of dehumidification due to its design, but it will not be able to handle excessive levels of moisture.
