"This started with a persistently dripping bathroom faucet. The faucet was probably original to my mid-1960s ranch house. As long as I was calling a plumber in, I also wanted a dripping toilet (it was leaking around the handle used when flushing) repaired. I was pleased that a plumber was available the same day I contacted True Blue even though these repairs were certainly not an emergency. Anthony R., the plumber, came as scheduled late that afternoon. He was very competent and professional. He replaced the bathroom faucet with a modern new faucet because it really did need to be replaced. (My original faucet was so old that the metal at the base seemed to be peeling/twisted up--it was one of those faucets with the handles looked like plastic jewel knobs.) I examined the new faucet prior to it being installed and can verify its quality and heaviness. The new faucet has an arched neck where the water comes out and gives some height between the water coming out and the bathroom sink that wasn't there before. When turning off the water to the house, Anthony recommended replacing that on/off valve as well as a piece above that which regulates water pressure to the house. I'm sure both of these were also original to the house. The on/off valve was really corroded and I turned it gingerly when I had to turn the water off/on. As far as the water pressure goes, the Kansas City Water Department has been doing a lot of work in my neighborhood and will probably continue to do so and may at some point in time actually work on my street. To defend my house against the water pressure changes this can cause, I thought this change was also needed. I'm not sure I quite understand how it works, but apparently the water pressure had something to do with the toilet leaking. Be that as it may, I haven't had any problems with the toilet since the changes were made although the toilet was also worked on. These repairs were quickly done and did not involve a lot of time. I think this was a good value even though what was basically a leaky faucet expanded to replacing a water pressure device and the house on/off valve and cost about $1200. (I lived in another house where the house on/off valve had a box dropped on it which broke it, causing a major flood as water poured out. That's destructive so that's why I appreciate Anthony being proactive and making the recommendations he did as well as being able to complete it during this visit.)"

He worked patiently to get all of our tile, accent pieces, pebble shower floor, fixtures, and shelves installed perfectly. He had to align spots in the wallbord to get the tile to lay correctly. "These guys were GREAT!! My kitchen sink and dishwasher backed up after I used my garbage disposal Wednesday night. I worked on it half the night trying to dislodge the clog, but only made things worse. I had standing water in both sinks and my dishwasher, and the dishwasher was leaking onto my wood floor. I looked on Angie's List, found these guys with a coupon for $69.50 for drain cleaning, and called them Thursday morning. The owner answered and said he'd have someone there that afternoon, but they called and were at my house within 2-1/2 hours. Two extremely nice guys showed up, friendly and professional. The clog wasn't easy to remove and took a bit of work, but they got it cleared and things were back to normal. They were careful not to damage anything and cleaned up after themselves. You'd never know they were here, except my sink and dishwasher were working again.  And the price was unbelievable, $70 for a drain cleanout is a BARGAIN!!  I will DEFINITELY call them again when I need a plumber!!!

"I called DTS last night and Anthony came over the next day to replace my garbage disposal (GD). He was early and got right to work. He diagnosed the problem and found that there was something stuck in the GD. He swiftly removed the item and I was on my way. I know nothing about GD, so he easily could have replaced it to make a buck. Instead, he was honest, professional and saved me about $400. I will absolutely call him again when I have a problem. I recommend him to anyone."

"The has done a wonderful on helping restore this 1912 home and I continue to call them back to do more projects and plan to book them for other homes I own. The main drain line was rusted and cracked from the basement floor all the way up to the second floor bathroom, which they replaced. This requires tearing down an old plaster and putting in new drywall that turned out seamless. I decided to turn an old pantry into a laundry room. They ran the plumbing and electrical for the room, framed the old doorway and drywalled it. Many rooms had old switches and outlets that they replaced. Ceiling fans were old and replaced. The former for the attic was missing siding and the windows were falling apart. They resided, painted and installed new windows. They set a new toilet and installed a new vanity which required new water lines. Relocating the vanity also meant running a new switch and installing a new vanity light."
