"Price quoted was double that of local competitors. That said, he was driving 30 miles to do the job, was very knowledgeable and professional, with great attention to detail. If there's any problem with my selected contractor, Ritzco Tree Care will get the job in spite of the price. All local tree services' prices were in the same ball park, about half of Ritzco. That might just be Waynesville contractors trying to keep Rolla contractors away. Ritzco's price was very close to what I expected for a licensed, insured, certified trees service employing at least one arborist. If that proves to not be true, as mentioned, I'll cancel the local contract and move to Ritzco."

"I am grateful and thankful for St. Louis Tree Service and highly recommend them. Once he finally arrived (missed the 1st three appointments due to the recent storms) he didn't disappoint at all. The other companies gave larger bids for just the Oak tree with a wait time of 4-8 weeks. Tony gave me a great deal on both large trees, started the same day as the estimate and was done in a little over 3 hours. Cleaned everything including the neighbors yards that branches dropped in. Give them a call. I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know that needs tree assistance. Bless you guys"

The fastest ways to remove a tree stump are by grinding it or burning it.

Stump grinding is often the quickest method, with professionals able to chip away a stump and its roots within a single session. You have the option to hire a professional stump removal service or rent a stump grinder to do it yourself. However, it's important to note that these machines can be large, difficult to transport, and dangerous to operate without prior experience. For safety reasons, hiring a local arborist or landscape specialist is often recommended.

Burning is another fast option. Before you begin, check your local burn laws. The process involves drilling holes into the stump, filling them with vegetable oil, and waiting 24 to 48 hours. Afterward, you can add charcoal bricks to the surface and light the fire, which must be attended at all times.

For a more affordable but much slower alternative, you can use potassium nitrate pellets to accelerate the natural decomposition process. This method typically takes four to six months.

If you aren’t sure what you’re doing, be very careful when cutting mature tree roots (roots larger than 2 inches). Root cutting and pruning can affect both a tree’s stability and its ability to nourish itself. Issues during root cutting can result in damage or injury. 

It’s recommended you call in a pro to help, unless it’s a very small tree and you aren’t worried about the prospect of losing the tree.
