"Bad weather set the company back a week, but they showed up as soon as the weather cleared. All was done as had been discussed and estimated by the company arborist. (One limb that was to be removed was missed, but the tree trimmers promptly returned when it was brought to their attention and completed the work.) Very good cleanup, considering the snow on the ground. Reasonably priced. "
Once you entrust Arborcology to care for your trees, it becomes so much more than "tree work" but the dedication to care for your trees like a family member. We follow up on all of our work to monitor and assess plant health to ensure that your trees and landscape can be the healthiest they can be.\n\nTree preservation is about maintaining trees in an environment where they can thrive, not just survive. The urban environment is one of the harshest environments in which a tree can live. They are expected to live in poor soils/compacted soils, are susceptible to insect/disease, asphalt/ concrete/ structures, air pollution, turf , and more. Arborcology is about creating the best environment for your trees and allowing you to enjoy the physical and intrinsic value your trees provide to your landscape.\nNOTE: We do charge a Professional Consultation fee for appointments.\n\n\n\n

Though summer is not ideal, you can do some light pruning during this time of year. Just make sure it’s not excessive. Vigorous pruning will stress the tree and impact next year’s growth. Generally, August to September are the best summer-pruning months, particularly for fruit trees.
Sudden oak death and oak wilt are different diseases. Oak wilt first shows up in tree leaves while sudden oak death affects the branches and trunk. However, as symptoms in both can overlap, it’s best to consult a professional arborist tree expert for a proper diagnosis and development of a treatment plan.
All of the tree root removal methods mentioned above are effective on any kind of root, whether it’s still growing or simply needs a gentle nudge to finish decomposing. The only difference is that larger roots tend to be harder to remove and may require multiple chemical treatments as well as manual labor to eradicate.
Costs reflect the size of the tree or shrub, the complexity of the task, location accessibility, and disposal needs, and comprehensive quotes vary accordingly.
Tree borers are difficult to control and remove once they make a home in your tree. However, with patience and determination, some methods can slow the damage or even eliminate the pests. But, once the damage is too much for the tree to handle, the only solution becomes removing it. Talk to a tree specialist early for the best chance at saving your tree.
