"One structure in the form of a arbor with a gate completed our fence. The other structure a small deck outside of the lower sliding glass doors, with a pergola added, gives a quiet shady respite to the yard. We also had Hal design and build a fountain feature added to the garden area itself. Which gives a soft and flowing water sound near the small deck. The work overall is outstanding with a very finished look. It was also accomplished as per estimate of time and cost. They were very considerate to make the work space neat and clean each day at finish time.
We would "highly" recommend these contractors to anyone wanting this type of excellent yard work done. "
"I met with the salesman on May 5, signed the contract on May 7 which included a June 16 start date, July 5 finish date. The start date was changed to June 30th, then July 28. Long story short, the project was finally completed December 31. There were multiple errors, delays, and poor communication. Most of the delays were due to an out of state engineer who is not very responsive, or so I was told. I am pleased with the finished product, and the cost, but the process was grueling. As time went on the communication did improve, and the workers were very nice. I've been told by the owner that many lessons were learned during my lengthy project, which should have been done in 2 1/2 weeks according to the salesman. Follow up: it's spring 2015 and the subfloor under the linoleum is buckling, which is not surprising. It was left exposed to sitting water for months during construction due to extended delays. It was buckling after that, and all that was done was sanding the raised areas, which was not a solution based on the outcome. I'm in contact with the owner, Clint, regarding this problem and will follow up on how it is delt with. Clint came and looked at and photographed the issue, we decided to see if it gets worse, and if so, implement a repair. Follow up 2: now that it's warm we noticed many bugs in the sunroom, and discovered that the screen guards were not installed, creating a bug freeway on every door and window, reported this to Clint, waiting now for this to be taken care of, no ETA has been given..."

I pay them month to month. I'm happy with them. Price is good. We don't pay, I fix it and they, everything is paid for. I don't have to pay anything. I don't have to pay anything. If my refrigerator goes bye bye, they will replace it for free. They are very professional. We have had them for years. We used them at our other house also. I think it was the air conditioner that went out. They replaced it, the whole thing. They were recommended to us by somebody who's been with them for years. And, like thank god because a year later the damn air conditioner went out. So we were able to use it."
Butterfly hinges are one of the most common types of hinges and you can use them all over your home. Though they’re common on doors, cabinets, and shutters, you can even find them on decor, like jewelry boxes, music boxes, and trunks. Doors may have basic butterfly hinges, while the hinges on cabinets and decor may be more ornate.
Regularly lubricate moving parts, check for loose screws, and clean tracks to prevent debris buildup.
A slab door is a standalone door without a frame or hardware. A prehung door is a complete set that includes the door, frame, hinges, and sometimes the doorknob and lockset.
In most cases, a prehung door is the better and easier option to install, especially for DIY projects or exterior applications, as they often come pre-weatherproofed. They require fewer tools and less experience to install properly. Although prehung doors are heavier and have a higher upfront cost, the investment is often worthwhile for a complete upgrade that includes a new frame.
A slab door may be a better choice if you are on a tight budget, have a custom-sized wall opening, or only need to replace the door while keeping the existing frame. While the initial cost is lower, you will need to purchase all the hardware separately and do more DIY work to hang it, which may not result in significant time or money savings.
An interior French door should last you anywhere between 30 and 50 years, while an exterior French door unit will last around 15 to 30 years on average. Exactly how long your French doors last depends on the quality of the materials you choose, with vinyl doors lasting far less time than fiberglass, metal, and clad-wood doors. Upgrading to shatterproof glass can also improve the lifespan of exterior French doors.
No, you cannot install a door without a jamb. The jamb is where the hinges, strike plate, and trim are attached. A person could ostensibly attach the hinges to the door frame itself, but it would hamper the door from opening and closing like normal. Door jambs also provide crucial support for the door and security for exterior entryways.
