"We hired JP for a powder room remodel, hoping for high-quality work completed within a reasonable timeframe and a fair price. While we are aware most handymen charge hourly, we sought an estimate / range of hours; we felt this was a reasonable request for our budgeting purposes. Initially, JP confidently estimated the project to require between 40-60 hours. However, we quickly realized that we were nearing the upper end of that estimate, and our initial invoice, issued with significant work still pending, accounted for 37.5 hours (62% of the 60 hours), raising further concerns. When we raised these concerns with JP, he assured us that we were still on track to remain around the 60-hour mark. However, as the project progressed, we began noticing significant issues with the quality of the tilework. Upon discussing these concerns with JP, he acknowledged some of the imperfections but said there would be additional time and charges for correcting them, implying a trade-off between quality and efficiency. Despite clearly emphasizing our expectation for both quality work and reasonable adherence to the estimated timeframe, JP claimed we were focused on prioritizing hours and costs rather than addressing our quality concerns. This misalignment ultimately led to a disappointing outcome, prompting us to terminate the project prematurely. Despite our dissatisfaction, we paid JP $5,400 for 56.5 hours and cut our losses on an unfinished project. While Joe, the worker assigned to our project, maintained professionalism and a courteous attitude throughout, the overall experience fell short of our expectations. While we appreciate JP's attempt to communicate with us afterward, it unfortunately came too late to restore our confidence.This experience has taught us valuable lessons about ensuring alignment and fit with a contractor's approach, and we'll apply these insights to future projects."

Bairon was always on time and communicated every step of the project thoroughly, so I always knew what to expect. When the project changed slightly, he was flexible and willing to help adjust without any issues. He even offered to shop at the store to find the materials that were needed, and went above and beyond by purchasing outlet covers for our little one to make sure the space was safe. On top of that, he was able to accommodate our busy schedule, which made the whole process much easier. His professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail really stood out. "I have used Weld & Sons multiple times since 2016. The professionalism, quality and prices were always very good. I have given this company a 5 star rating a couple times due to their terrific service. The price to replace my toilet yesterday was $535, while the prices in 2016 were $206 for one and $263 for the other (which included replacing a leaky shut off valve). Even with inflation going up, that's a 260% increase in 7 years. That comes out to a 37% inflation rate per year. While I also realize replacing a toilet for one plumber can take longer than another, I find it rather disappointing that a company I loved and used multiple times is a company I may not use again as I have no clue what I will be charged for the same service I received before and it's 100% dependent on the speed of the person doing the install with rates of $176 an hour."

"For a number of of years we deferred replacing the vinyl siding on our house that was poorly installed and had deteriorated horribly, but after our son and daughter-in-law had their home beautifully redone with Hardiboard siding installed by Craftsmen Home Improvements we knew it was our time. Based on my son’s experience and recommendation, we opted for CHI to install James Hardie siding and soffits and couldn’t be more satisfied with that decision. The work crew (Ray and Luis Nava) were fantastic in all ways; communication, skill and workmanship. They worked tirelessly and efficiently(even in some harsh winter temperatures) and always informed me of issues they encountered with our somewhat “wonky” house 😏 that they addressed with proper solutions. The end result is a stunning transformation of our house that only disappoints us that we didn’t do this sooner! Thank you CHI and especially Ray and his team!"
