"I called Junk Genius on a Friday in the late afternoon and they were at my home by 8:30 the next morning. Mike & Pablo were my two specialists. They were friendly, fast and amazing packers! You pay by the space used. They utilized every last inch in that truck! My job took more than one load and I swear they were gone less than 15 minutes to get a new truck and back reloading again. The entire experience from beginning to end was flawless and I will use them again! I highly recommend Junk Genius!"

"They did an excellent job of stripping the basement of all the paneling and ancient fiber board ceiling tile. They removed everything. It turned out much better than expended!"

"We determined that the tree needed to be removed ASAP. I called All Season's Tree Service on Monday morning and asked for an estimate. Larry came later in the morning and gave us an estimate. We did not receive timely bids from the others we asked. The estimate we received from Larry was reasonable. We said we would like to go ahead with All Season's. The next morning, Tuesday, three men came with their equipment. They went about their work in a very professional manner. The tree was methodically removed with no damage to our property! Cleanup was fantastic!! You would hardly know there had been a tree in our front yard. I would highly recommend All Season's Tree Removal!!!"

"They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with their service. Here's an example: we hadn't reached our 2-hour minimum after moving the table into the house, so they stayed and helped me put the table together. After securing over 20 bolts into the table there was still 15 minutes left, so they helped me take the packaging (cardboard + styrofoam) to the garbage. Thank you On Call Services, I will use your service again."

"The guys from Above the Crowd arrived on time, Kyle introduced himself and the other guys - then they got right to work.  I was impressed with their thoroughness.  We did a walk through the home right away so they could see what they had to move.  They wrapped up all our furniture and had to move several heavy/awkward items (400 lb gun safe and a treadmill).  The ENTIRE moving process (wrap furniture in moving blankets/shrink wrap, pack furniture and boxes into moving truck, drive to storage facility and unload EVERYTHING into the storage unit) took 3 hours.  The guys were hard working and quick... and it was a HOT and sticky day... pretty much the worse case scenerio for moving.  It even rained the last hour of everything (including during the unloading process).  They never lost their cool - didn't have any incidents of dings in the wall or items dropped/broken.
We're using the same moving company in August when we move into our new home -- I'd like to request the same guys... and would recommend this company to anyone (so far).  I will submit a review upon the move INTO our home as well.

"I highly recommend Lighthouse Moving Company. They were efficient from the very start, which involved loading the items on to the truck, all the way to the finish of the shift, which involved carefully placing them into my newly designated rooms. They arrived on time; they were accommodating; and the rate was very reasonable. I am impressed with their level of amazing sense of professionalism and expertise. The management responded to my requests in a timely manner. More specifically, they kept me updated and informed, every step of the way, which I certainly appreciate, since schedules tend to be in flux. On top of this, they also provide the following services: residential, business commercial, home, and packing assistance. After reading their stellar reviews, it is obvious that they have a fantastic local reputation! With seventeen years of experience, they are both trustworthy and ready to go! All-in-all, if you want an awesome and flexible relocation team, with a positive attitude, go with LIGHTHOUSE MOVING COMPANY and ask for “John!” [*** Link removed ***]"

"Miller and his colleagues were able to do a lot of things quickly. Along with everything else, they also grabbed some old furniture that I needed help moving to the curb. They took several cares to make sure nothing was damaged during the move, including wrapping the furniture, turning off all the lights, and packaging the picture frames."

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

Continuous feed garbage disposals are the favorite model for many homeowners for a reason. As opposed to batch feed models, add food scraps to the drain whenever the disposal is running. This variety is also typically less expensive, more convenient, and easier to clean.

These appliances certainly increase the number of things allowed down the drain, but they’re not foolproof. There are several items you shouldn’t put in your garbage disposal, according to manufacturers and technicians. Don’t put coffee grounds down the drain. The same goes for eggshells, potato peels, hard foods, onion skins, and any dry, expandable food. Most importantly, never put grease or oils down the drain.

There are many maintenance and repair issues that lead to a malfunctioning garbage disposal. Regular clogs place wear and tear on the motors, leading to an eventual shutdown. Electrical issues at the breaker, wall outlet, or disposal itself can fry the unit. The most common cause is simply a worn-down motor. These motors can only handle so much use before powering down for good.

On average, a garbage disposal can last anywhere from 7 to 12 years, with many models functioning well for about 10 years. With heavy usage, a motor may last a minimum of five years, while grinding plates will wear down over time. It's generally a good idea to consider a replacement if your unit is approaching the 10-year mark. Other signs that it's time for a new disposal include frequent leaks, persistent clogs, lingering odors, lack of power, or unusual noises. If your unit is not that old, it's worth investigating if a less expensive part, like a rubber seal or a loose hose, is causing the issue.

In some cases, it’s more cost-effective in the long run to replace a garbage disposal, but it depends on the specific issue you’re having and the age of your disposal. You should ask a garbage disposal repair tech for a quote to repair your appliance and then see if it would be more worthwhile to replace it. Additionally, garbage disposals last for around 15 years, so if you know your appliance is reaching that age, it’s likely better to pay for a new garbage disposal rather than sink money into repairs.
