The clean-up was fine, it's the pricing that was concerning.

I was very disappointed in the billing and cost of the services Dry Air Restoration (Shakopee, MN) provided.  The first estimate came back at $1925.00, but once they found out insurance was going to cover the clean up costs, their bill jumped up to $3,686.52 for the exact same services as indicated in their initial estimate.  We were told by this organization, that if insurance was covering the claim, they bill differently than if the bill will be paid for without insurance.

I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable recommending a company that takes advantage of its customers like this.  Regardless if insurance covers the clean-up and repair, the work performed is the same.

Your home has a few telltale signs of a sewer line problem. If you notice multiple plumbing fixtures (toilet, sink, or shower drains) appear to be clogged, call a plumber ASAP. Also, if water appears in the tub or shower when you flush the toilet, you likely have a sewer line issue. A sulfur (rotten eggs) smell and bubbling or gurgling noises at the drain also warrant a check. And keep your eyes peeled for changes to the yard, such as a new indentation or mysteriously soggy grass.

Snaking a drain can take as little as a few minutes for small, simple clogs, up to two hours or more for tough clogs located further down the drain line. For tougher clogs, a professional drain cleaner can likely get the job done much more quickly because they have the necessary tools and expertise. For a more stubborn blockage, grab a plunger and give it a few firm pumps to dislodge the clog.
