"Houle did an exceptional job with the project of insulating a old house and getting our home comfortable and lowering our heating costs. Todd did an excellent job of explaining what we need and what we didn't and came out a couple of times as the projects were on a different time table. We did have a hiccup with the pricing, however Arne was super professional and honored the verbal pricing we agreed upon. They even made the rebate paperwork super easy and even sent it in for me. I would recommend anyone looking to insulate their house, give them a call. Thank you Todd and Arne."

"Very well, these guys are great, they seal everything right and load tons of insulation. My house is now at a R60. And this was not cheap, however I do not expect heating costs to go down for many years to come unless we all go solar."

"Professional insulation company? Yep, that's Snap Construction for sure. I used them for my insulation needs last year and their team did a great job. Prices were fair and the flexible options made it easy to schedule the work around my schedule which was important because I have a day job outside of my home. All in all, a solid experience."

"They are the first on our list for help again.  They tore out rotten drywall in the wall and ceiling in the kitchen and one wall in the downstairs family room.  They got rid of the insulation and repaired wet floor joists in the outside wall.  The wall downstairs was taken down to the studs and then rebuilt to code.  Part of the kitchen floor  had water damage and needed to be replaced."

"Value I worked with Ryan Youngren at Hoffman Weber Construction for both a full roof replacement and siding. Ryan was personable and very knowledgeable in all aspects, which allowed me to feel confident with my purchase. The process was painless, efficient, and I was pleased with the final look of my home. I couldn't be happier. I will continue to work with Ryan Youngren for all future projects and have passed him off to friends and family!"

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Glass fibers are often used in HEPA filters because of their high efficiency, durability, and thermal stability. Some HEPA filters are made with synthetic fibers, but they may not be as effective. While there is some fiberglass shedding, as long as the HEPA filter is intact and not cut open, the amount of fiberglass released by a HEPA filter is well below the breathable particulate matter.

Cellulose insulation is usually made from recycled paper products, such as old newspapers, but cellulose might also contain recycled denim. While most homeowners traditionally buy cellulose insulation to use for installation, it is possible to make your own at home with old newspapers, cardboard, a paper shredder, and boric acid (important for fireproofing your cellulose insulation materials).

Without a doubt, insulating a garage door is a surefire way to make your home more energy efficient. Not only does insulating your garage door reduce your electric bills, but it also helps protect your valuables inside your garage, all while making for a quieter interior space.

In regions that drop below 0 degrees Fahrenheit, your car's battery is at risk of malfunctioning in a garage that drops dangerously low. So, homeowners who reside in extremely cold climates can especially benefit from insulating their garages.

Yes, exposure to fiberglass insulation can cause harm to your skin and eyes. However, this typically refers to the fiberglass insulation that is mostly used in walls and attics. Fiberglass doors don’t pose risks for fiberglass exposure because they're fully encased in polymer cladding.

Durable materials suited for climate include aluminum for coastal areas or composite wood in varying environments for durability and minimal upkeep.
