"The crew we had working on our house was amazing!! We didn’t know what we would uncover when we decided to replace our siding, soffit and gutters. This team took care of all of it and left us knowing that everything was done correctly. We would highly recommend All Craft for any of your home improvement needs, they’re top notch!"
"From the Sales Rep Adam to the job site Forman Julio right down to the project manager Anthony they all where polite professional and honest. The sales rep Adam was honest and upfront about everything he didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. He also pointed out that if we went to slider windows instead of double hung windows it would save us a ton of money. I had gotten 3 quotes before choosing river valley. High end 49k from one company to the lowest 17k. I picked River Valley out of West Salem WI. They fell in the middle range of around 24k. I had 22 windows that needed to be taken out and replaced, they finished it in 1 day. Julio the job site Forman was so professional and honest about everything, he pointed out what he though might not be up to my standards and gave me options on how they could fix it, they used drop cloths to make sure nothing hit my floors, the cleaned up afterwards and made sure it was to our liking, he showed us how the windows worked and how to take the screens out and put them back in. They caused Zero damage to my siding. They cleaned the windows before they left and also offered to put all my curtains back up for us. I didn't want my old blinds so he even took them with them as well so I didn't have to get rid of them. They worked late so they could finish the job in 1 day, they took there breaks separately so 2 of them where working at all times. Anthony the project manager called me the day after to make sure everything was to my liking, he was polite and professional and he wanted to make sure the crew did their job. My advice to anyone who needs new windows don't waste your time with any other company River Valley is the way to go, you won't be disappointed and they offer financing that was 4 percent cheaper then what my bank was offering and I have a credit score of 737, and I didn't have to take out a second morgage on my home."
"We liked that they worked with out insurance company to get the most bang for our buck. Workers were very friendly. They took the time to make sure the house looked just the way it should. It looked way better than the last time we sided it."
"Valerie the siding need help the siding was missing in some spots the bathroom has a leak or to needs new tub. Valerie was wonderfully and true with me from start to finish"
"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

If you want the look of natural stone siding without the high material and installation costs, vinyl siding may be one of the best alternatives. It’s lightweight, low-cost, and low maintenance but does have a lower life span than natural stone.
Vinyl is lightweight, easy to install, durable, and long-lasting, and as long as a professional installs it, it should remain waterproof for several decades to keep your home protected. It can hold out against extreme weather conditions, and it doesn’t make a nice home for any sort of insects. Plus, vinyl is affordable and comes in a variety of looks and colors. When it comes to board and batten siding, vinyl is one of the most affordable material options.
Increasing home value and return on investment (ROI) are two different things and it’s important to differentiate between the two. While a kitchen remodel will surely raise the value of the house, it may only have an ROI of around 50%. Homeowners looking to raise the value of their home for sale will have to consider how much they will recoup by the monetary investment in projects, as the ROI percentages may be lower or higher than the added value on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
You can put new siding over clapboards, but it’s not recommended. Some sidings, like vinyl siding, can go over clapboards with sheathing like a foam layer in between. However, it’s best to remove clapboard siding if you plan on replacing it with new siding. Burying wood clapboards underneath new siding can create risks of rot and mold, or hidden insect damage. It can also create warping issues over time. Removing clapboards allows you to properly install a new sheathing, as well as clean up the exterior wall and look for any signs of damage.
Some homeowners use caulk on the edges of clapboard siding to help seal it. However, this method invites new problems. With so many gaps sealed, clapboard siding is often unable to drain properly and moisture from rain or other sources can build up inside. This can lead to rot and other issues over time. When repairing clapboards, it’s best to avoid caulking the final product. The exception is trim around windows and doors, which should be caulked to avoid moisture problems.
