"Scot is Very Responsible. I appreciate him shoveling and or snowblower my sidewalks patio and driveway , as I can no longer do it with my physical health. He is Very Pleasant and is also teaching his kids the Value of work ethics. They often help him out. I recommend the Scot Tye Team to many friends and neighbors !"

"We now walk out of our basement french doors onto a beautiful bricked patio. Tom and his worker did a phenomenal job! They were very hard-working, professional, efficient and definitely very detail oriented and work was completed timely. They also kept us updated on the installation. They are very knowledgeable and pointed out pros and cons which other contractors did not do. At the same time they were respectful and pleasant, letting us make up our own minds. Because of experience in related fields, they were able to share knowledge we probably would not have otherwise received.
First they completed measurements to ensure the grading was correct so everything in the end would be level. Yes, the bricks are extremely level and graded so the water runs away from the house. This involved laying down the foundation. Attention to detail was displayed when Tom and his worker arranged the different colored pavers into an attractive pattern and laid the pavers for a tight fit. They also took the extra time to ensure the pavers were cut in such a way there was both a tight fit and attractive look when installing around the piers. Not only does Tom do phenomenal work but his worker does too! They went above and beyond when Tom rerouted our existing irrigation for the sprinkler system to accommodate the pavers. Excellent job on clean-up too.
They are definitely concerned about and use quality material and used superior weed cloth barrier, extra long spikes, edging and such materials. Their bid was competitive and we felt fortunate to have had such a qualified company do our job. They also guarantee their work for 5 years and only one other contractor we found had this same guarantee. Most do 1 year based on companies we researched.
They go above and beyond what is required. I forgot to move some hosta plants and when I came home I received a pleasant surprise in that the plants were dug out for me and put aside by his worker.
We definitely plan to use this company again and highly recommend their work."

Patios questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can build a sunroom addition to your home despite living in a cold climate. Make sure to use high-quality insulation and windows and to supplement with sufficient heating from your HVAC system. The windows in the sunroom allow enough natural light into the room to help heat it most times without having to use the furnace. Even a small electric fireplace can heat the sunroom well enough.

Yes, adding a sunroom can increase your home's value, with a return on investment (ROI) ranging from 20% for a screen room to 50% for a three- or four-season room. The amount of value added depends on the design. Fully insulated, temperature-controlled four-season sunrooms add the most value as they can be included in the home's total living space. In contrast, simpler structures like Arizona rooms or solariums typically have a lower return as they don't count as legal living space. A high-quality sunroom can also be an attractive feature for potential buyers, especially those who enjoy gardening. The value may also be higher in warmer climates where this feature is more sought after. When deciding, consider both the potential resale value and the personal value you will get from using the room.

In most cases, you can attach a greenhouse to any type of house. However, certain factors need to be considered, such as the structural integrity of the house, available space, and local building regulations. You should consult with a professional contractor or architect to assess the feasibility and ensure proper construction methods.

There are many materials to choose from, including picket fencing, wood slats, galvanized metal skirting, dog-ear fence panels, scallop wood fence panels, bamboo screens, and other decorative screens. You can search for materials at local big box stores like Home Depot or scour online home improvement sites. Good search terms to use are fencing, skirting, and privacy panels.

The life span of your solarium will depend on the materials used and how much wear and tear the room experiences from the inside and from the outside due to weather. On average, you can expect your solarium to last anywhere from 10 years to 50 or more. In rare cases, such as with old estates, solariums can last over 100 years.
