"I got the referral from a realtor friend, who has had Calco do work for him. Calvin & his son, Brandon were prompt in scheduling estimate, and bid within $800 of my other estimate, but were willing to do the job in a shorter time frame and with less prep on my part. They accommodated my schedule and painted while I was out of town. The sheetrock in my unit was originally taped poorly, so there were a lot of tedious, messy areas to repair first, in addition to painting all walls & ceilings in a 1250 sq. ft. unit. I could not believe how beautifully it turned out! I can't see where the repairs were made. The work is seamless and perfect. My unit was clean and furniture replaced in original places. This is a highly professional crew that knows what they're doing. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat!"

It’s often better to hire a professional wallpaper hanger who can get the job done properly for a clean, smooth finish.

Walls should be as smooth as possible before applying peel-and-stick wallpaper. Although you technically can apply wallpaper on textured walls, the peel-and-stick variety won’t last long without a clean, smooth surface for the adhesive to stick to. If you have textured walls, consult a pro about removing the textured finish before moving forward with wallpaper.

Most experts would not recommend hanging wallpaper over existing wallpaper more than twice. Even if the walls are in good condition and primed well, that third layer of wallpaper could cause problems with adhesion. Unless you like bubbling paint and peeling wallpaper as an interior design choice, it’s better to remove at least one existing layer before adding any more to a wall.
