Free onsite estimate

We started refinishing hardwood floors in 2000. Our low prices attracted the attention of a large number of first-time home buyers. Our affordable refinishing services continue to attract many proud new homeowners. In 2005 we picked up a couple of installation and refinishing jobs for Lyons Realty in Sacramento, California. The real estate agent who hired us at that time was impressed with the high quality of work we delivered and our ability to offer affordable prices. Soon we began receiving request for estimates from other real estate companies. By 2010 we had established ourselves as an affordable, professional, prompt and reliable hardwood floor refinishing and installation business among many well-known real estate agencies throughout the greater Sacramento metropolitan area. Those Realtors included but are not limited to Better Homes and garden Realty, Yolo County Realty, Cook Realty, Lyons Realty, etc. In 2018 I made a short trip here to Minnesota with my wife. We liked it here so much that by March of the following year we came and settled down here in this beautiful state. On occasion I'm asked if I like it here. My response is always I wish I would have come here 20 years ago. We look forward to the opportunity to bring back the awesome and timeless beauty of your hardwood floors here in West Central Minnesota. Hardwood Flooring questions, answered by experts

The life span of hardwood flooring mainly depends on the type of hardwood you’ve installed. Solid hardwood flooring options can last between 30 and 100 years, whereas engineered hardwoods need replacing every 20 to 30 years. If you’re unsure whether to repair, refinish, or completely replace your existing hardwood floors, speak with a hardwood installer to determine your best course of action.

Cork floors last up to 40 years with proper maintenance, which includes sealing the floors every two or three years and cleaning up any spills as soon as possible. If you have pets, your cork floors may not last as long. While cork can last decades, warranties on cork flooring offer limited coverage for 5 to 25 years.

You might be wondering, “Is laminate flooring toxic?” The product does contain formaldehyde, which is found in the resins used to bind the wood fibers together. But the chance of overexposure and adverse reactions, such as allergy- or asthma-like symptoms, is low unless you are exposed to formaldehyde in other places, i.e., if you work with formaldehyde regularly outside the home. Keep in mind, too, that many household products have the potential to pose a health hazard, such as cleaning products.

Yes, you can put carpet directly on concrete. However, you need to take certain precautions to ensure the success of the carpet installation. For example, you’ll need to choose a synthetic carpet pad to provide insulation and cushioning and a vapor barrier to prevent moisture from seeping into the carpet.

No, thick carpet padding isn’t necessarily better than thinner padding. The appropriate padding thickness will depend on the type of carpet and the amount of foot traffic in the area.

For example, thick padding works well in low-traffic areas, like bedrooms, where you have soft and plush carpeting. However, thick carpet padding can damage low-pile carpet, which is used in the busiest parts of your home (like hallways and entryways). For that reason, it’s best to use thinner, heavier padding underneath carpet in high-traffic areas.
