"I cannot say enough positive things about Profi. They said what they would do and then they did what they said. Their bids were competitive. And most importantly, their work is phenomenal. In particular, they were meticulous in laying the penny rounds on the floor of my kids' bathroom so that the squares are not apparent. I would use them again in a heartbeat."

"Donald and his team were amazing from start to (re)finish! Knowledgeable and responsive, Donald walked me through the process and kept in touch throughout. He and his team were very professional--they did top notch work and took care to clean up after they were done. The only way you could tell they had been there is that the floors were gorgeous and gleaming--they looked brand new! Donald and his team take pride in the work they do and it shows! Can't recommend Grain highly enough!!"

Customers say: True professional

"Dmitry and Alex did a spectacular job. We have an 1920s house and getting the old floor out was a tough task. They were great craftsman - the finished floor looks terrific. They were patient with our questions and very clever finding solutions. Very neat as well. Intend to use them again. Great value for money."

"I needed someone to come clean with almost zero notice. This company was willing to work with me to make it work. Once there, she made sure to get done what I needed in the short time we had. She did what I asked and had all her own supplies. I couldn’t have done it without this service being able to come immediately and working so efficiently. Thank you for getting the house wedding party ready!"

"Argi and his team did a great job removing an old fiberglass tub/shower enclosure and linoleum flooring over 4 years ago. Did a fantastic job with the shower, shelf inset, shower ceiling, walls and floor! 4 years later and it still looks like new!! They cleaned up the debris and removed it promptly. Very courteous and professional in their demeanor and handling. Definitely recommend and will hire again when needed. Can't say enough good about ARGI Tile. Hire him and you won't regret it! Thanks, Argi !!!!!"

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

Regular sealing, proper drainage, and periodic inspections prevent premature wear and cracking.

Yes, a magic eraser can remove candle wax. You can use it to remove all the candle wax from start to finish. Another option is to remove all large clumps with a dull knife and then pull out your magic eraser to finish the job. However, while the results can be impressive, a magic eraser shouldn’t be used on all surfaces since it can potentially damage them. If you try this method, test a small, hidden spot first and proceed cautiously.

If you’re looking for commercial cleaners, just check the label to find options that say they are safe for vinyl. Otherwise, homemade cleaners work great for vinyl plank flooring. Baking soda paste works well for spot-cleaning, and vinegar mixed with water is best for all-over cleaning. You can even clean your floors with plain water, which is great for everyday maintenance.

You can use dish soap mixed with warm water to clean just about any type of flooring, and while vinegar is a great addition to some floor cleaners, it’s not a good idea to use it on wood flooring or engineered wood flooring. Vinegar is very acidic, and it can gradually eat away at the protective finish on wood floors. If you’re cleaning laminate, tile, concrete, or vinyl floors, feel free to use vinegar and water in a 1-to-1 ratio with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, substitute the vinegar for olive oil.

Professionals use HEPA vacuums, industrial-strength cleaners, and microfiber cloths for effective cleaning without damaging surfaces.
