I am a home repair & services specialist. My usual answer to your repair problem will be, "I can fix that" or "I can do that" or "I can build that." I usually work alone, but have manpower available if we need it.

I take pride that my company only exists on referrals. I offer creative project planning and the utilize most current technology for efficent functional upgrades, repair and maintenance. I also offer the most proper disposal and environmentally responsible recycling for our project demolition and debris. I am happy to offer ideas and estimates for large or small projects. I offer top quality craftsmanship along with midwestern work ethic that won't prevent me from getting my hands dirty and provide a finish that you can be proud of. My pricing is competive and our workmanship and attention to customers requirements is one of our highest priorities. You may be surprised by the spectrum of services that I, cover so please ask. I excel and specialize in unique and creative finishing and remodeling of basements, kitchens and bathrooms but really there is no part of any work or living space that I am unfamiliar with so please ask. Thanks for your consideration in selecting me as your service company. Ken, KC

"1. Did not bring anything to cover shozes or old/wet water heater. Requested the customer to provide towels or something to cover the bottom of old water heater, mentioning the carpet will be dirty without it. 2. Had difficuties to ignite the starter/new water heater. Broke a gas nozzle part of the ignite by drilling. Even broken, put the part into the water heater. Somehow, the starter worked. 3. Paid $1,000 for installation of water heater. Requested the receipt but they said it will be avaiable after 3 weeks (will be updated). 4. Broken part will be replaced by other service provider,"

Roof Ice and Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

Snowblowers are some of the best tools for snow removal because they remove large amounts of snow quickly without bodily harm or damaging your deck. If your snowblower can fit on your deck, it’s a good first line of defense to remove snow quickly and easily. If you don’t have a snowblower, a plastic shovel with a rubber blade is another good choice to remove snow on a deck.

Yes, some homeowners insurance policies cover roof damage caused by snow. However, these full or partial payouts can vary depending on the age of your roof and other related factors, like the overall condition it was in before the snowfall. It’s best to check with your specific homeowners insurance policy to determine snow damage coverage and exclusions.

Clearing snow from your roof can be a tedious and time-consuming job. Even so, it is extremely important to maintain your roof during the winter months. You can help prevent ice dams and avoid roof collapse.

As a side note, rather than shoveling your roof, you should always use a roof rake to modify the job. Otherwise, call in a professional.

It can be dangerous to remove icicles from your roof, so the best option is to treat the underlying issue instead, usually by ensuring proper insulation in your home. If you’re concerned about immediate damage, you can hire a professional to remove the icicles and the snow accumulation on your home to prevent the issue from recurring. Just make sure you use a long-term solution, too, like addressing insulation problems or installing roof heating coils on your roof.

Purchasing a snow blower costs $100 to $2,300 on average. It all depends on the make, model, and age of the machine you choose. You can also go the rental route if you only need your snow blower for a temporary period. Renting a snow blower costs an average of $75 per day from your local hardware store or rental facility.
