"The work was phenomenal, great job, they hanged the drywall started on a Saturday, then completed the hanging of the drywall the the next Sunday afternoon. They were polite, and on time, they took pride of their work. they got all the drywall up, and dried up all in 3 to 4 weeks and when they were finished everything was ready for finishing and painting works. He does a lot of drywall work for me in little over 5 years."

"Very professional. Wonderful to work with. We hired them to put an addition on our home. They did everything very well : foundation, building the rooms, putting in insulation, drywall, painting, flooring, windows, roofing, plumbing, framing doors and windows, ductwork. They even built raised flower bed structures to go around the outside of the new addition. They are a very talented and skilled company."

"Fernando did an outstanding job in our project, which included drywall and flooring. He repaired water damage on our ceiling, installed drywall in the same room, and installed vinyl flooring throughout four rooms in our house (family room, kitchen, bathroom and laundry room). He was professional in his work, and maintaining a today workspace throughout the project. We all appreciated this because drywall can be messy, but he was very thorough at the end of each day to vacuum any dust. He also did a great job on the floors, including advising me about what flooring would work best for our needs. If there is one recommendation I would make, it is to offer an itemized estimate and invoice. I did not request this however, and Fernandoâ s prices were very reasonable. He was also very pleasant and alsways showed up exactly when he said he would. He completed this big project in just over two weeks, and we will definitely call him again for future projects. Thanks Fernando!"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

The cost to texture drywall depends on whether you want to do the work yourself or hire a professional. The cost of the drywall mud is far lower than labor costs for applying it. The labor cost to spray drywall compound onto a wall is between $0.80 and $1.50 per square foot, while you’ll pay between $1.50 and $2 per square foot for the labor to apply the texture by hand.

The easiest way to cut holes in drywall for electrical boxes is to use a spiral saw with a drywall router bit. Hang the drywall without cutting out a hole for the box, but make sure you measure and mark where the box is located on the wall. Once you screw in the drywall sheet, drill a small hole into the box void, insert the spiral saw bit, and move it around the edge of the box using the inside wall as a guide. You can also use an oscillating multi-tool with an electrical box cutout for fast, professional results.

Cracks, water damage, and holes from fixtures or impact.

Certain drywall textures, like sand and sometimes popcorn, can be smoothed by applying skim coats, sanding the walls, or chipping away the texture. However, it’s worth considering removing the texture and starting with a blank canvas. Smoothing textured walls requires a lot of sandpaper and elbow grease and can take longer than just outright removing the texture.

You may need to replace drywall because of smoke damage. If the drywall is covered in soot, you may be able to clean it, but it will require a lot of time and effort. You could spend hours cleaning the drywall only to find there is more damage and it needs to be replaced anyway. It’s usually easier and safer to remove the smoke-damaged drywall and replace it.
