"I live in California and had my gutters cleaned at my house in Michigan. I'm not there to view the work but the customer service was exemplary. The owner contacted me quickly and got the job done right away before the weather took a turn. I'm completely satisfied because the price was competitive and the service was excellent."

"They were very professional they painted my entire 2500 sqf home on spring lake. They sprayed the trim and itâ s beautiful! Not only did they do an amazing job and keep us updated throughout the entire job at the end of the job after we paid our bill they gave us a personalized gift basket which Iâ ve never gotten from a company Iâ ve hired before. It was really cool and let me know they actually care about there customers. We will be using them again on any and all projects we need done!"

"They were extremely polite and professional. The work was done well. We have many windows which are very high and we were surprised at how efficiently it was done. How does that sound? I thought I couldn’t say one thing wrong with the people."

"Josh came out to give me an estimate for my deck as well as my son's deck. He was very friendly and professional. I had some questions about the stain/sealant. His responses reflected his expertise. He sent Rich out within a week as promised to clean both decks (mine and my son's). Rich was friendly and did an excellent job getting both decks cleaned and ready for staining. He cleaned my deck box without being asked, which I appreciated. The cleaning was done on a Tuesday. Josh indicated the staining would probably be scheduled for the following Monday. To my surprise, he was able to return (with Rich) on Thursday afternoon to complete my staining. He and Rich returned on Friday to stain my son's deck. My husband and I are very pleased with the professional results. My son and daughter-in-law both confirmed that they are very happy with their deck as well. Josh called ahead each time he planned to come out as I had requested. They were careful not to disturb any of the plants that surround my deck, covering them during the staining. I am delighted with their work. In fact, I asked for a quote to power wash my house, and plan to have them return in a couple of weeks. I highly recommend them."

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Generally, a patio is more accessible than a standard deck because patios are constructed at ground level. However, decks can be made accessible by adding a wheelchair-accessible ramp, a vertical lift, or a stair lift along the entry. An ADA-compliant deck ramp costs about $3,000 on average. The additional investment will provide a much friendlier experience for your guests with movement impairments.

The best and fastest way to remove paint from a deck often involves combining a chemical stripper with a pressure washer. Gel-based paint strippers are highly recommended because their thick consistency makes them less messy and easier to apply than liquid strippers. After applying the stripper to loosen the paint, you can use a pressure washer to efficiently wash away the residue. When using a pressure washer for this task, it's important to use a low pressure (under 1000 PSI) to avoid forcing too much moisture into the wood, which could lead to mildew or rot.

Building a deck without a permit could lead to fines for both the homeowner and the contractor. The exact penalties will depend on your state and municipal building laws. You might also be required to remove the deck and apply for a permit before you can build another. While it might be tempting to skip the permit to save a few bucks, it’ll cost you much more if you’re caught.

Yes, but ensuring the deck has a solid foundation with adequate footings is critical before building, as the weight of a sunroom will put significant pressure on the structure below. Even if your deck is properly constructed, it may not be able to handle the extra weight. While some basic, lightweight, prefabricated sunrooms can sit on a deck with a strong existing foundation without additional supports, in many cases, the foundation and joists will need reinforcement. It is always best to have a structural engineer perform an inspection to evaluate the deck's quality and structural integrity. A professional can help you decide if reinforcement is sufficient or if it's better to tear down the deck and start over.

DIY staining or painting is manageable with proper preparation, including safety measures, necessary tools, and adherence to safe weather conditions for application.
