Caretakers was started in 1975 by Don Crowley. After working several years for a landscape contractor he set off on his own. His vast knowledge of landscape construction and training from installation to maintenance is far from average. After being in business for 40 years we are still considered a small company employing 12-14 people during the busy season. This gives us the ability to be customer oriented. Although we are a small company focused primarily on West Michigan, we do serve the entire state from the U.P. to Detroit. Ten years ago Don brought in Brian Demmick formerly of Demmicks Nursery in Byron Center to expand the business and have the ability to take on larger projects.
