Melamine is generally more affordable than laminate, while also being resistant to scratches, stains, and heat. However, melamine cabinets are also heavier and may easily splinter during installation. All in all, the choice between melamine and laminate cabinets will depend on your specific needs.

Since they are so fragile, it is not usually recommended to stack anything on top of your packed lamps. If you have sturdy boxes, and what you plan to put on top of them is of a similar weight, it’s okay to stack.

There should be at least 18 inches of space between the upper wall cabinets and your countertop in order to have enough room to use your countertops. If you have a kitchen island, you should allow 42 to 48 inches between the base cabinets and the island for door clearance and walking space.
