"Chris is a hard worker and has varied skills in both indoor and outdoor services. He removed cabinets and an island and then drywalled the area. Once the work was completed, I asked him to assemble a closet kit and fix broken doors. He did an excellent job, and I will be hiring him again to fix my deck."

"I engaged Monty Solutions to trim and clean shrubs and bushes on my property. Monty Solutions (Drew and team) throughly exceeded my expectations from the start. Their proposal was complete, detailed and professional. It included photos that highlighted each portion of the project along with related fees. During the project Drew sent progress photos to ensure their work aligned with my expectations. The continual communication was great. I look forward to engaging Monty Solutions on future projects."

"From the very beginning, communication was great and also throughout the entire process. Always knew when Cullen was going to show up and leave. Kept me up-to-date during the project and the final product looked amazing. Was willing to listen to our needs and adapt as the installation moved along."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Lead removal can take a few days to several weeks, depending on the work needed, particularly if the lead is widespread and in hard-to-reach areas.

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Follow recommendations for removal or remediation to ensure a safe living environment.

Exterior paint contains a higher level of VOCs, which can be dangerous if you’re exposed to it for a long period of time. The good news is that paint’s toxicity reduces significantly once fully dried and cured. Do not keep open exterior paint cans in your home, basement, or garage, exposing your household to harmful chemicals over time.
